The car went to Will's workshop and he discovered the problem today

    Unfortunately the cambelt was snapped

    I can't believe it....

I have a complete cambelt kit in the trunk ready to be installed...in 4k miles!

    Definitely is bad luck
My birthdays present turned in a deep pockets nightmare

Now we'll see with Will what's the best to do....
The engine was working perfectly,no oil consumption,116k miles ...
So could be a nice chance to refresh everything? Or just fix the damage and continue burning the old engine?

Well,i am here quietly at home,i can write about the crazy adventure

    what a bad luck
but after all i had a lot of luck ¡¡ because i cant imagine what could happen if this problem had happened in France
because there ,i dont know the language,i dont know any person there,a garage or anything...

so after all i have to think positive¡

the car died alone,i was cruising at 70Mph,never did a WOT,it was snowing hardly the friday morning.... all perfect¡ i liked so much how ths EVO drives, very smooth, very good feeling with the steering wheel,3" full exhaust system without cats and middle muffler and a titanium small box at the end... very good noise and not very loud as my S2 ,very happy with it.

Michael showed me and my friend how good it pulls with it´s stock 328bhp and very short gear ratios in the Dublin´s raining night

the car looked very good at pictures, but to be honest the car looks much more stunning presently ¡¡ the interior ir almost perfect and the exterior even beter¡¡

between the the days 6 to 7 i could not sleep more than 30 minutes in the car parked in one fuel station 1ºC degree outside and snowing and later 90 minutes in the retuning flight to Madrid from Louton airport.

i will see if tomorrow Will20v can go to pick the car from the recovery or i will have to advise other as i am loosing 22 pounds each day and also i preffer to have it stored in a known garage from someone here in the forum

well,Michael the ex-owner advised me to check first how is the balance belt before trying cranking again..

if the belt is broken maybe i could have bad luck and have some valves damage or with good luck anythng.

he also advised me to check the fuses,as there is one that controls the spark....it is pink he said... also i can have problems with the fuel pump,or it´s relay.. or the famous crank sensor . he sent me links of the MLR Evolution forum that shows very similar problems as i described...hearing a small noise and then died.

Michael never has had any problem like this in his 4.5 years of ownership

luckly ii hope to can solve the problem and fly over there to London or Louton...and return back if i can crossing all my fingers

i was overtaking cars in the 4th way becaue it was the fastest way as the traffic in the M1 was very bussy¡ a lot of cars and trucks around....i had to put the left turn signals and try to put my *** the safest s possible...because i could have a hard accident.

once the car is there, and it seems to be that there are many Evo specialist... do you know one near there to could map it i it were needed? if it deserves of course because for +30hP i dont se the point
