yes that was my first option but...i will lose my birthday party with my family....because i will have a lunch with around 15 people... so i prefer to pay more ,drive more and stay at time


the ferry to liverpool or Holyhead is fuc_king expensive,i dont know why but there is not way to do other thing

Hey Rooco, for cheap ferries try http://www.norfolkline.com. They go from dover to Dunkirk which is just north of Calais.
Is this also the official S2forum ferry operator, and is used on most trips to the Nurburgring by many a member
If you miss your booked ferry they usually let you jump on the next one and they go very frequently.

If your driving from Calais area to Madrid you will be coming right past my place in France its about 50km out of your way, If you get stuck give me a shout!

Eurotunnel is the best if you ask me, especially because you don't know at which time you get there due to traffic.
Trains leave every 20mins or so, you can even book up front and take an earlier train if available, happened to me couple of times.

What paperwork do you take with you regarding the car from the previous owner?
V5C form? Selling contract with autograph from previous owner?
British customs can be a real hassle...

i did not book any ferry...because i will do it depending on traffic,rest,road conditions...so better to buy the tickets once there


Bo,Madrid is far from my home,i live in the north of Spain,that becames for an faster trip from Uk

we will see about the tunnel...because is very expensive depending on the hour you be there...

I find the Eurotunnel is good if time is an issue. But a ferry ride can give you an hour or so to rest your eyes. Both seem to be fine if you are an hour or 6 early/late. Not if you are more than 24 hours late IME.

I am yet to make it to the Emerald Isle. The ferry costs always put me off, as I am too used to cheap Channel crossings.

i am going with a nice friend togeher¡ so better to hhave some rest,talk and keep us bussy with somethiing..

i decided to pay his traveling costs,but it deserves for me..is like a good aventure
