Well a wee update, managed to get the entire carpet removed without tearing or cutting it, happy with that. Cannot say exactly the same about the dampening though, some of it so deep and stuck so damn well I had not choice but to cut a little bit t get out, but when it goes back in it will be matching again as it was a straight cut. Anyway I'm gonna get the interior off to be cleaned this week, no rush at all for them. I also managed to turn the engine by hand quite easily too, plugs out and a lot of WD40 in the pots to prevent any corrosion. Plugged the plug inlets for now to allow the WD to settle in and to stop the air getting into the pots as much as possible.

I can only offer words of encouragement and a bit of advice. Begin with the end in mind. Document everything, take lots of pictures.

Same taste in cars, but (thankfully) I don't have the chrome bling thing......

Judging by the wheels, I'd say that's an 08MY Vogue, as they are the same as mine? I've had it from new and I'm never selling it. It will be run until it dies, with no expense spared on maintenance!

No sighs from me. RR is a far better vehicle than a Q7:

Best (daily) motor I've ever owned!

HJ it could have been so much worse, thousands of people had their homes completely ruined by the floods, feel so much sorrow for these people, cars can be fixed pretty easily 😕

Thanks Anthony, really not sure what could be done but appreciate the great offer I've got plenty coffee in me caravan, in the same unit as you might see in one of the pics if you look hard enough. Perfect for when you are there all day can even use the microwave to warm up my diet cheeseburger

Amazing how stories can grow arms and legs, as I got a call from a mate in Montrose who told me about a flooded RS2 & Q7, but he suggested that both the cars were uninsured!!

I knew there was an RS2 (Registration M** COB) in Angus which was permanantly off the road due to being CAT-B, but I didn't realise there was another one hiding along the road from me!! I used to keep my (old) rally car down there, but it was always left on the trailer, just in case (that flood would have probably only hit the sills, and a submerged trailer isn't an issue).

Hope things are looking up for you now.
Thanks John, they were both ours and both insured, Q7 away now got a Range Rover to pull the caravan for a change....here comes the sighs now...
