      First of all, I made it sure that my notch(?) on the flywheel exists, after that I turned the crank until the G4 (or was it G28, don't remember) sensor and flywheel notch were facing each other. Then I took the distributor out and put it's empty hole or whatever facing with the hall sensor. I went this way because when I aligned the factory marks, no spark. After that I made sure that all my ground connections are good and ran fine.

      EDIT:

            Thank you very much, I will proceed
            But I don't understand this: "I went this way because when I aligned the factory marks, no spark"

            The factory marks were wrong and you made in another way?

              When I aligned the flywheel 0 mark with the transmission window and aligned distributor marks, I didn't get any spark. Maybe it was because the V6 transmission, dunno.

                Well, got the adapters long ago now...
                Still having problems with engine though.

                I've changed:
                * MAF
                * Injectors
                * FPR
                * Engine Speed Sensor

                Also my spark plugs are like this:

                If it's cold, it won't even rev to 2000rpm, it just wants to die.
                But if I let the engine go warm, then it'll rev to 3000rpm very nicely and quickly, then it gabbles (don't know the word for that lol) and about 5000rpm it starts to pull normal again.

                Checked the lambda sensor, it's ok according to my voltmeter. Is it knock sensors? So tired of that engine...

                    Sounds like knock sensors?

                      Can you tell me what number of those injectors?
                      I'm looking to buy them and do the conversion.

                      I hope you resolve these problems quickly.

                          I got a S4 avant which is almost a barn find now, hasn't been running for 10 years and 4.2 V8 + 6speed manual transmission, gonna fix this one when I have the 80 running. No turbo for me, maybe in the future and 1.8T, not 2.2T

                          0280155759 and adapters from Epytec, though they are very hard to fit (leaks between the adapter and injector).
                          These injectors are a little bit too big, so I adjusted the fuel pressure to 4bar. Stock is 4.2bar.

                          Thanks

                            You are NOT the only one! Think I have narrowed my occasional fuel smell down ot these injectors, despite new o-rings.

                            IMHO they are too slack on the top o-ring, and there is nothing to stop the fuel rail going to **** which of course means the o-rings leak.

                            They are very new, clean plugs, ceramic is still slightly cream, so would say not your problem, or an indiction of one.

                              I modified my fuel rail for them to fit, then they started to leak between the intake manifold and injector, so I also modified the gasket between them.

                              And yeah, they are new (driven maybe 3000km before the swap).

                                Got the power steering working, lines were switched ... Still haven't got the engine running though. Tried to change lambda probe today but half of it snapped inside the exhaust manifold.

                                Also tested the compression of the engine:
                                1cyl: 14bar
                                2cyl: 13bar
                                3cyl: 15bar
                                4cyl: 15bar
                                5cyl: 15bar
