144mm PO weighs around 613g, all sets are weight matched in 0,1g.

Only Sten Parners I've seen were 134mm for Saab, and they weighed like 750g. Then again they were for 24mm wrist pin.

Verdi's look more beautiful and weigh less, but the difference in weight I had in my only set I have pucrhased was more than 4 grams.

Then again it is possible that I had my rods from different sets, they didn't come straight from Verdi.

Verdi's are more expensive than PO's, at least here in Finland.

Stefan is a nice guy, so is Pasi. So that makes no difference.

I am not saying the weight itself makes the rods any stronger, but I have never ever heard or seen PO to fail under power. And we've seen some pretty serious misuse of these in gr.B +1000hp 4cylinder drag cars.

I prefer PO 'cause I know it'll 100% sure hold the powers we have.
Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspirated

      Time for an update...

My new alu flywheel on the kitchen scale. 4.646g. The original S2 double mass weighs close to 12.000g...:

2 plate cerametallic rally clutch from Tilton:

I hope this flywheel/clutch combo fits inside my clutch housing. Time will show...

It depends. From where to where do you want me to measure?

The flywheel measures 37 mm from the backside of the teeth to the friction surface.

I bought my flywheel from KRB Trading. It did cost me 3500 NOK ex vat. Quite expensive, but I hope and think it's worth it...

Does the 158mm Conrods want much modification to fit in the Diesel Block? How much must you remove from the block so they will fit?

I have finally started the modification of the bores so the conrods will fit. I hate to use the grinder in my block, but a man gotta do what a.... I must grind two notches in the bottom of each cylinder. The notches must be about 15 millimeters long, measured from the bottom of the bore. It's quite easy for the grinder to slip, but the 15 lowest millimeters of the bore aren't the most important ones I hope... I will get back to you when all ten of the notches are finished. Wish me luck guys...

make sure the bores are protected from flying pieces of small metal particles or they will pit the bores . be carefull
