We are good. All injectors are dry.
So new seals and a little Vaseline.

And then all back together.

Thanks. I haven't checked the WUR but need to run the engine to do that properly.
One small leak is good news really after replacing everything.

Its a sign that everything you have done is good for it all to be bolting together smoothly and working pretty much first go.

I predict your first go at starting will be exactly that - few turns of the starter and away you go.

Got the wheels out of storage and gave them a good scrub.




Cleaned the contact points at the back.



And the bolt seats.


And fitted them on the car.


Anyone know what the wheel silver colour is called? I have a couple of stone chips that could do with touching up.

Yep, zermatt silver. But if you were to paint them now, they would come out a lot more silver than what they are now. Over time they get that golden kind of tinge to them
The tyres should be 215 50 15 but I'm guessing you already know that
I think this part of the process is the best, cleaning up and checking the components before reassembly. Like a great big lego set

Thanks guys. Yes, knew about tyre size. These tyres are good, lots of tread and no cracks. Been stored inside under blankets for last three years. All still holding air too! And yes, that gold tinge looks very good

So today was torque up day.
First wheel bolts, then hub nuts. Big boys toys required.


Then lots of crawling about under the car to do all the others that need the car on its feet.
Like these.


Looking good on her wheels after such a long time.

225s are more available, cheaper and look better, I've not used 215s on my Ur since the 80's

So a very kind friend of Newsh had this knocking about.


Cleaned up and painted with Fertan high temp paint.


And fitted. I had to make a spacer bush up for the top mount.


Not sure what gearbox it was off but it works just fine.
Then onto exhaust. It was very dusty after being in storage.




So it all had a good scrub.
New bolts, plenty of copper grease on the olives and fitted.



This is a made in UK Milltek and excellent quality.
I've sprayed a little high temp grease on the fittings to keep the rust away.
