About 2 years ago I heard my Nothelle wheels had gone to a guy in a village about 25 miles away from me. Rumour had it that he owned a couple of S2's. I went for a drive in my Avant up and down the village a few times but there wasn't another S2 in sight.
I put a request out on Facebook to see if anyone knew this guy. Nothing, not a peep.
The trail went cold.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I received a Facebook message from a guy saying he was following up a message about Nothelle wheels, he knew where they were!
They were on his brother in laws S2. Oh, and by the way, I have an S2 and so does my dad!
Three, yes three S2's all in the same small village in rural West Wales.
So, last weekend I went for a drive. There was a possibility that one might be for sale. Negotiations were entered into. This wasn't going to be an easy sell. The guy has owned this car for 10 years and is obviously very attached. A week passes and an agreement is made. I'm now the proud owner of a 94 Coupe.
It's been off the road for three years. Needs love and attention. I can't wait to get stuck in
