    Turbo oil filter housing.

This is what i'm using on this engine as it will be turbo'd.

New parts are the housing, gasket, bolt with 'o' ring seal and 2 spirol pin locators.

      7A 20 valve engine.

This is going on my daily drive.

Filter housing with oil thermstat built in. No need for the spirol pins but you keep the old stubby thread the filter normlly goes on. The housing is attached with a new part with a duplicate thread for the filter.

Is that a Mocal sandwich plate? I've already got the S2 housing but that looks to be a better hassle free option.

Cheers very much for the pics, a massive help

          .

Don't think it's a Mocal...no name on it. Plenty around from the usual places, 'bout £20.

That large bolt for the s2 housing were damn expensive...

              Errrrrrrrr...

Lounge floor...:mischeif: Spent too much on these bits to have them going rusty!!!

Oh, and the garage floor has got 'Heuga' floor tiles, much harder wearing.

              Into a b4 80 of sorts...ala s2 saloon.

Thanks very much for posting a parts list. It'll be a little while before I start doing any thing with my engine as first I need to work out exactly what i'm going to do. Hope to start later this year

If thats the thermostat I gave you it is a Mocal one, it had a new seal fitted 2 years ago and bought direct from Mocal along with 19 row cooler (bit of an overkill as it turned out) when I had my tuned KV in the engine bay.

Surely if you can use the 7A head on a 3B/ABY block, then the locating dowels should be in the same position? Or am I missing something here?

                              Nope...

I'm using the 7A block to help with the increase in bore size to get me to 2.5lt (92.8mm crank), using the 3b/aby would mean having the bores machined several times and therefore more £'s per bore cut.
