Where is the 92.8 crank from? Is it a std vag-part or aftermarket?

I meant which engine is it from, originally? Or do you have vag part number for it?

Shamelessly stolen from the Audifans.net site.

There is an obscure crank from an 'industrial' engine with the 92.8mm stroke, you could use this with 3A or 6A pistons to get your 10v/20v up to 2.5L. If you used the tdi 2.5 crank which is 95.5mm stroke you end up with approx 2.6L but need custom pistons. Either crank could could be used in the shortdeck block, but the crankcase area needs opening out to clear the longer 'throw' of the crank.
Either could be used in the talldeck tdi block (which presents its own obstacles) You would use VW ABF/2E conrods, again pistons would need to be modified/custom with the 95.5mm crank

              034 105 101 J = 92.8mm stroke
              074 105 101 = 95.5mm stroke

              Thanks 'scotty33'

              Good luck hunting...

OK. Thanks for the info. I am currently building my engine with shortdeck block & std 86.4 stroke, but maybe some other engine will be more special.

                          Good idea Carl,

More technical than my aproach of this
And then i machined down one spacer and added a 6mm bar to the strut brace
