    New bumper on...

Question is.. what's the old one worth? It has a crack down the N/S so the box section is half off. a smaller crack near the number plate and a crack along the bottom, black section. It's been repaired with some heavy epoxy gear and most parts are holding except the box section that fits onto the metal bracket. Oh yeah.. and the vertical bars that hold the grilles are gone but they were held together ok until I took them off just interlocking and with 2 small screws in the middle section.

If I had the skills i'd be doing an LHD_Kid mod to it.

Well I found out the night I got my car and they was nearly new brakes (around 3000 miles on them) and I was not really going that fast.

sure it will just encourage me to be a slightly safer driver, knowing that the brakes aren't as good as they could be

Congrats on getting it on the road mate, just be carefull with the standard brakes they really are a bit useless.

sadly no mate. it wasn't "one of those" brake dreams.
I actually found myself pacing the floor with my son in my arms about 2 o'clock, muttering about G60 pins for David. I need a few days away from coupe parts I think.

haha. thanks mate. Maybe i'll stop dreaming about brake calipers now.
And again - huge thanks. I'd still be trying to marry the engine to the gearbox if not for you. actually that's not true. I'd not own an s2 and most of the forum members would have owned bits of it.
I'll sort out that lunch I owe you soon.

    thank you very much gents
I still have some bits and bobs to tidy up but i'm road legal now! I'm away to ireland to see my family tomorrow night to monday so when I get back i'll tax it and insure it. The missus is itching for a go in it. oh-oh.
My only regret is that I didn't do the whole process with an avant because I really need it for baby friendliness and erm.. audi breaking friendliness. Sod it i'll be so busy hanging on to the wheel i'll not be too worried about it.
