I'm sure this has been asked before, but is the AAN engine's ECU different for an Auto virses Manual?

Ah, brilliant, thanks, so the data held on the chip is the same/remappable etc as normal. No funny business with 'missing' signals from the auto box etc.

I think it was a friend of 'porkkis' who used a AAN ecu on his project, just wipped the auto chips out and banged in some decent ones.

It's possible to provide those signals even without remap, however I don't remember whenever it should be ground or some other signal.

Without providing those gearbox signals it starts and drives like normal, but cutouts on 0.4 bar, like overboost cutout, only lower pressure. Don't know if it was the reason, but that was my impressions when using ECU from auto car. After changing chips, ECU completelly forgot it's past

Regards flywheel, I am going to be using the one from my present 7A with 242mm clutch plate, has the reference pin and is one of the lighter ones you can use and clutch pedal is not heavy. No need for uprated clutch as not going to be going over 300bhp.

[QUOTE=spink;273923]you dont have cut cut any of the gearbox/engine,just need to remove the needle bearing from the end of the crank and replace with older version,BTDT spent about 2 hours trying to get a gearbox onto a 3b.QUOTE]

Heres a good shot of that bearing that needs changing if your are sticking with the 016 box.Borrowed from Derracudas project thread.
