Great to see an update Tom
Are you going to run with manual AC or climate control?

I've got all the parts here for the automatic climate control system. That should be going in soon.

Speaking of....does anyone have a picture (lhd) of the firewall showing the routing of the wiring. A pic with the hear box removed?

          Great update there Tom

I think you've just motivated me to get the OEM parts for a new radiator shroud and hex bolts, as mine is barely hangining together... might replace the AC rad too and finally get that working! Any part numbers handy for those bits?

I suspect Saltinot is looking after a photo with the dash removed in order to show the wiring. Unfortunately mine has never been removed (the dash that is) so I don't have such a photo.

I do have a complete lhd climate with its wiring attached on it in a box that I could have someone back home photograph for you

Cheers for that. I do need a pic of the one with the box removed. I want to be sure I have everything there that should be before I mount the heater box.

Hey, the fuba base arrived, thanks!!

I have couple of pics with the airbox removed... not sure if they help, but they are on page 1.

Barely finished one project and already knee deep in another. Just finished pulling the motor and transmission out of my B4 90 quattro. I was going to enjoy the V6 a bit longer but the water pump failed on it... and since you have to take the front end apart to get to it, might as well just yank...

I can do this for you tomorrow when I remove the dash/heater box and then both the ecu loom/interior loom from an s2 aby if you want

Good to hear Martin. I'm glad it is going to good use. Cheers for the pics.

Is that a RHD car Pete? Either way please post for future reference. Can you get a pic of the wiring behind the carpet? Do you have the door sill covers available?

I should just post a pic of what I have done and folks can give me the a'okay if it looks correct.

its a Rhd car mate I will get as much pictures as possible.

When you say sill covers do you mean the one's that sit ontop of the screws that hold the sideskirts on? I will check but think I don't have any spare anymore.

                            Cheers Pete.

Yes, that the ones. Audi Tradition says they will make more, but I am a bit skeptical atm. I figure I will grab some while I can.

I'll have a look and see if I can sort some.

Biggest issue is when they are removed due to age they normally crack. Aronmatic had the last two really good one's off me. You could ask him what his plans for them are, I think he's making them in carbon.

                                Tom,
I remember when you were still gathering parts Long before the shell was ever loaded into the container. I just read this entire 69 pages. I knew you were going to do fantastic work, you always have, but I am completely stupefied that you haven't driven it yet ( even unfinished ) to verify proper operation I know, I know, there is the whole engine is not in it yet thing, but really, I would not have been able to forgo putting in the engine ( pre -paint/ cleaning) and having a bit of fun. That is why you win the award for most patient wrench in the world. (Read Perfectionist)
When this beast is complete, (another year or 2 given the rate of progress) It will be the absolute best RS2 anywhere in the world.
I would say your attention to detail/ cleanliness/ correctness, rival anyone that I have ever known.

I fully support your efforts and applaud the restraint shown in doing it right, before you go drive it.

                                SALUTE!

Now go have a sit in the drivers seat and enjoy the view over that lovely hood. Then enjoy a nice Shandy!
