I think its a testament to how well you built the car that there is so little damage. I'm sure it will be back to its former glory in no time.
A wise man once said "always plan to do one last run, but never do it" That's when it always goes pear shaped.
Theres always if's and but's. You cant turn back time so just got to move on and learn another lesson! Very wise words though!

Here is the video of it all going wrong!

Gutted for you Looks like it's come out of that pretty well if it's been over twice. At least you're OK anyway.

Went to do a bit of testing today at a local airfield. Ran the car for about 2 hours without any issues. Went out for a final run to have a bit of a play making lots of some with some big drifts etc. Anyway it all went a bit wrong managed to slide it off the tarmac section we were using. The grass had just been ploughed and it dug in and went over. Nobody to blame but myself. Myself and passenger are both ok just a little stiff.

The car doesn't look so bad considering it went over twice. Looks like it will need a new roof skin, drivers door, and a bit of work on the wings but they will all save. Will get it fixed up and back out again.

Just read on Facebook, Hamish has had a tumble in his car
He and the passenger are both fine but a little stiff.

I believe he was a little over exuberant and clipped a plowed field which flipped it over a couple of times

Don't worry mate, you will sort it out and have it done in no time....

Well I was supposed to be doing some testing with the car today but that was called off due to the snow. Decided to have a play with the E50's to see what was what. I got hold of a pair of 3" dishes which nicely fill out the arches. Looks like I will be able to run 3" dishes front and rear which is what I was hoping for. So 10.5" wide as they are pictured here. Or I have 4 7" barrels to take them to 10's.

How they sit on the fronts. A lot more space for the brakes than on the merc wheels. I will be able to cut down on the spacers if needed, pictured with 20mm.

The rears are swallowed with ease could go for larger dishes but i would rather keep all 4 wheels with the same barrels and dishes.

So I am after another pair of 3" 20 hole dishes 16" diameter if anybody has some laying around otherwise its going to have to be new ones.

I am sure it will happen at some time but it might just be by chance in the end.

I finally sorted out some pictures of the work before the show. It was a mad rush to get the car ready for the show, I just managed it with a few late nighters.

Got the alternator finished off and mounted under the car.

Whilst I was under there I connected up the rear diff lock.

Mounted the oil cooler for the gearbox, tucked up nicely out of the way.

Finally I had to do a little machining to the brake bells and brackets to get them to fit with the S2 running gear as its different to the quattro stuff:

Managed to get a pair of 3" dishes for the E50's so on the look out for another pair and then I will get them split down and built up.

A few pictures from the show. As you can see the S2 running gear has narrowed the track which will make it easier to fit the new E50's with wider dishes.

Doing a few final jobs to the car to get it ready for a run out next weekend to do a little testing which should be fun!
