    Well the engine did NOT survive the dyno. It barely passed 500whp@5000 rpm before the cylinder wall cracked...
    I did use the AAB (2.4D) block and that was not a good idea. I believe alot of you knows it already, but I did not. It happens that the AAB block are alot weaker and are not suited for my expected horsepower... I will either sell the car as it is, or I will build engine a new with a ACV block.
    I will maybe be back

        After what I have been told, this is not uncommon on 2.4 AAB engine block, because it it alot weaker then the TDI block . I should have used the 2.5 TDI block...

              O.K I feel at ease now with that knowledge

              Damn shame though, get a TDI block and get it back running

                i did not know nothing about the 2.4d blocks..if they could fit with our 20vt cylinder heads.

                Jamo said me that the choices for build a stroker engine with our heads was the AEL and AAT both 2.5tdi blocks making with the AAT easier the work to do.

                i am very sorry friend for this problem

                i hope the best of luck early with your new TDI block

                  @Rocco

                  Wise words from Jamo I know people are also using the ACV (102 hp) from the Transporter (Eurovan I believe you call it)

                  I have announced the car for sale, but I am also looking for a good core and will rebuild it if someone doesnt buy the car. I hate to not finish the work I have started, but I do not have to much time to spend on this car...

                      @Masterblaster

                      I will rebuild it now, so I dont think I will sell it...

                      Removed the engine yesterday and pulled it apart today. Luckily, piston seems fine and a new block is on its way and will probably be in my hands on Monday. I will then start welding and machining it Monday night. If everything goes well, I will deliever it to the machine shop for boring and decking Tuesday. If I am lucky, I will get the block back on Wednesday

                        So I got the new block back from the machine shop and have now started rebuilding it again. I have fitted the crank and pistons, but have not torqued it yet, because I have no more ARP lubricant left... I will try to get some tomorrow
                        I have also bought new, stiffer springs for the valves, so it should be able to rev a little more. They will be installed in the next days.

                        Thanks

                              Nice, what compression ratio and what length rods are you using with the stroker?

                              I've noticed my pistons are deeper dished than a lot of other strokers but then I'm running 155mm rods not the typical 159mm

                                I do not remember the compression ratio 100%, but believe it is about 8,5:1.
                                The rods are about 155-156mm.
