So i had posted on this topic way back at the start, it was getting impressive then, but now its awesome! and i salute you for helping my homework for the five stud conversion, i just need to gather the bits!:mischeif:

I was getting bored with my dagdag, and had planned to buy a 2002 a6 tdi avant, but i think im now going to keep it, and do the five stud conversion, find some nice bbs split rims, and try and tune it a little.

so again, hats off to you sir, and keep enjoying the car!!
Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris.

      Thanks Ryan,

Managed to get the ATD installed.
Same procedure as documented >>> here apart from I routed the sensor wire through the passenger side bulkhead instead, just because I have a few cables going through there anyway.
      Thanks to Paulgo for the sensor and the black connector. All came together nicely as I originally planned to use another connector. Reason being, after vagparts have gone, it's a 50 mile round trip to a dealers. Hardly worth it for a £1.40 part. I was going to use one of these instead;

But Paul had a connector spare and I luckily had 5 female pins with wires left over from the grab handle light install in the S2.
      Sorted.

Sensor located behind the nearside bumper grille. Secured to the cross member mounting plate:

      New connector receiving it's pins/wiring:

Fired up before fitting to cluster:

      Random:

      Original bulb :

No, the wiring and plug were not behind the dash. It only had the connectors for the rear of the fogs and associated wiring up to the fuse box. I got a connector from a scrappy and wired the whole lot up using a 40 amp relay direct from the battery.

Yeah same with mine, there was no wiring/plug behind the blanks, I ended up soldering in a spare plug/wiring I sourced from a car being broken.

                  Long overdue an update.
Sooty still lives, she soldiered on through the winter as my work hack and never let me down once. Even through some pretty bad snowy weather she still got me where I wanted to be everytime.

Although I'll still own her, she's off on loan to live with a friend of mine for a while, as she's just sitting doing nothing at the minute. Why? A new car took over a couple of months back, bought for a purpose that turned out not to be.
You know how it is, you buy something intending to do nothing, but that leads into starting down the modding road.
I'll start a new thread on the new motor.

Does your dashboard shows right fuel consumption?

No. The ECU does not have a fuel consumption output on this 93 TDi.

                          hm...
                          that's bad...
In one webpage, I saw german's solution, with some module (PWM or smth) witch converts signal on newer 1z (from 94y, with 202Nm)
