i had mounted an S2/competition bumper on a B4 audi 80 with the brackets that jase posted.Indeed they were different from the audi 80 but the ones jase has posted did the job and fitted the holes perfectly

You'll find those two large plastic brackets on your wings that the original bumper clipped/slid onto, are no longer needed as the S2 front bumper doesn't use them. Just remove them and discard.
The S2 bumper is held onto the wing round the side by way of two hexagonal shaped inserts that are popped into the wing and a bolt passed through the bumper. The hexangonal holes will be there for them on your wings, they'll just be empty)
The inserts can be bought, I didn't bother though, I just used a SS bolt and nut.
Here's the part number anyway, two each side needed. N 902 521 04
Ah, i see the holes in the wing, i guessed there must be something else to fix it to but kind of had a bodge going round my head already! By the time the bumpers repaired and painted i should have all the hardware needed for the front brackets.
Every day the pile for the paintshop seems to grow

I only wanted the exact same thing. A hack to run back and forth to work in without being worried about it
Fat chance, I got sick of not being able to see where I was going due to the bag I had to wear on my head , as the car I bought was a complete and utter shed, complete with bogey's on the door cards

              Damn google image searches that brought up this picture ;

I forgot about this latest bit. After reading back through posts by others that have had 1Z's (Martinjs, spink and Ben) saw mention of a blanking plate for the EGR valve on the TDI engine. Stops exhaust fumes being re-routed back through the inlet. Nice clean fresh air instead.
                Bought one from >> here.

                Fits perfectly.

Undo two bolts, slip in the plate and gasket, pop bolts back in and re-tighten.

And figured "Hey mines black too", it was all downhill from there on in.
Google images should be banned, well for car pic's at least.
Bogey's? I had some strange off-white stains on the front passenger seat and carpet.
Drove it 350 miles home from the vendor with these scary white marks looking at me.

                          @ Papvas, Jamo and Pete

Ever heard of a B4 Audi 80 1.9 TDi "quattro"???
Of course not, they never made one. The B5 A4 was Audi's first quattro driven diesel.

So how about taking a B4 80 1.9 TDi FWD and converting it to a quattro drivetrain?. Think it'll be a nightmare of grinders and welders? Doable without PILES of hassle and truck loads of time and cash?

                            Anything is possible.
quattro makes quite a difference to mpg, knocks about 10 miles off.
Isn't that really what your dag dag is about?

Also, now you have that blanking plate in, take the inlet manifold off and clean it out, you will not believe the muck and rubbish stuck inside!
