Hehee, well, haven't been able to do much. Heads are dismantled, bottom end needs to come apart. We'll see if block is in shape, previous owner didn't seem to bother put storage oil into cylinders, so a shade of rust inside (not too bad though), all debris is more likely the problem. Good I didn't just lift engine into place do plumping and start it...

Weekend 2 weeks away I have reserved for dismantling. After that all things are going to machine shop along with new cams and rods. Balancing act is going to be done, I want over 1000rpm more than stock rev limit allows (new valve springs and titanium retainers are also going to be installed)

Is it mounted now in the engine bay? (or was it at some point?) did you have to do much work to get it to fit?

Well, engine mount arms from AAH engine fit into block nicely, I will however do test fit before block goes to machine shop. I have gathered that B5 AAH block is indeed same as in 30valve N/A. we'll see, if it's the same block

Oh and C4 chassis AAH engine mount arms have slots for engine to move fore/aft 1-2cm

Well, from what I gathered in that thread, mechanical side of engine fitting should be plug and play?

Electrics will cause a lot of work. I'm going to use "mix-and-match" sensors from AAN and AGB. ECU won't be OEM, so it won't cause problems with things, original ABS works without OEM ECU, that I do know

This beast is now assembled, complete ADU engine in the engine bay now. (serial number ADU000005 or how many numbers there are in the serial number, same serialnumber is present in cam belt cover). Tomorrow MOT, and hopefully pass it, then to active duty as daily driver. Not that it's that comfortable with all 80mm of ground clearance, poly engine mounts, solid rubber transmission mounts and sub 5kg aluminium flywheel.

I really need to change gearbox for RS2 one, CET 5-speed has too large gaps between gears :S

I still have that 2.7 30vt engine, and I have "extra" C4 body to do fitting on. So it's not buried project, it's just on hold. I have 4mo daughter, 5yo son and wife to take care off... So time just isn't there to everything.

After last update about 2.7TT engine I have gotten married, gotten a step son and daughter (daughter biologically mine, step son calls me his father...). Wife needs some car for her daily driving, that's what my 100 2.8 12v avant automatic is for, just that now I got "my" daily driver operational again

Oh, and have to say porkkis did a heck of a job with idle control on Motronic with that 3B aluminium flywheel, without seeing/driving the car!

Well, the car needs quite a wash, having been in garage for over 2 years, but will do once I get her cleaned up.

Didn't pass MOT, both rear camber adjusters need to be changed as needs right front suspension arm, ball joint is loose and wont stay attached to hub carrier. So all in all dangerous for road use

Rear arms changed, front one passed with new bolt for hubcarrier and good tightening.

Battery is almost dead Didn't start after being left by itself for a weekend.

So on saturday I will get new battery, clean "the" garage my UrS4 was nondriveable for 2 years and sort heater/ac wiring, if I have time left I'll wash it first time in 2,5 years

Right, after getting a new battery (Bosch Silver+ 85Ah) and new starter motor things started to clear up. Until head gasket blew between 2 and 3 cyls. So needed to lift head, machine head and refit with new bolts and gaskets. Also heater matrix needed to be changed. Now that I have had time to wash my temperamental girl here are some pictures.

                              Blacked out headlight:

                              Black Hella taillights:

Those tail lights DO look a bit weird, as tail fog-light isn't black at all and reflectors are glued to tailgate part. Need to grab some blackout spray and make them blacker and move reflectors to bumper

One last pic of how tight things are in front wheel with mov'it 342mm brake kit:

Yes, some lists on doors are missing, there are either new ones or rusted ones in this world All lists do need replacing, each and every list on doors are rusted and buckling.

Front bumper needs to be adjusted so that I can put those strips under headlights back on, interior is still missing some pieces and so on.

But hey, it's driveable, and sounds niiiiice inside with motor held in place with polyurethane and with gearbox mounted with 034street mounts. I have to say, it sounds better now with stock(!) UrS exhaust than it did with full 3" exhaust, inside the car that is.

4 weeks ago, I installed alarm into this, next night someone broke into it and split ignition lock with two wood screws, 3 weeks in shop waiting for Insurance people to show up and then waiting for parts. Not all parts are available anymore, so need to negotiate some amount of money to cover expenses to buy plastic bits and pieces. Who the hell steals inner doorhandle from a car? or plastic strip underneath instrumentcluster is beyond me.

New summer rims are on, "worst" has 20g of balance weights, best one has 5g
