Yes there is indeed a tiny tiny little crack on cyl 2, but mostly I think it´s the cameraflash playing tricks Could barley see it when the head was lying on the table. Or maybe I should get some new glasses

A little update.

Got sick by grinding of old paint by hand so I used some other methods

Left some stuff at a local shop for some sandblasing


My garage mate Pelle aka eriksson have been experimenting with electrolysis, so I tried that as well.


This is how it looks like after 24 hours...


Result: bare metal



Whishbones and upper A arms painted with Por15




Rear axles refurbished and new outer cv joints



The old joints looked like this...

All thats needed after the electrolysis bath is to wash with water and brush off loose dirt and rust with a wire brush mounted on a drill. Piece of cake

A little update. The subframe is painted and fitted with alloy bushes from 034. A question tough, whats the correct tightening torque for the bolts that holds the subframe

where did you bought those outer CV joints? Dealer stuff or imitation brand?

It´s some kind of imitation brand called Mapco. They are made i germany tough. Bought them from a guy on www.blocket.se (basically a swedish verson of ebay)

Solid bushes from 034 fitted. And new steel braided brake hoses.



Hub carriers painted with por15



Powerflex bushings fitted to the wishbones




A shield underneath the car went to electrolysis. This is also painted with por15 but I forgot to take pictures...



Rear struts assembled



And some stuff back on the car. And I really have to clean the wheelarches...
