Sounds great Quiet weekdays are priceless

We are heading down friday 21. aug. Open all day saturday and sunday. We are two couples going + my friends dad. His dad and my missis will be first time visitors so it will be a relaxed weekend I think.
It is also the 1000km ADAC Le Mans race at the GP track saturday/sunday. So there will be alot of people in the area. However I have heard there is not to many actually racing the NS during these events...

Yes, that's a shame... For how long are you staying? Avd oldtimer GP is 6.-7. august I think Would love experience that one time also.

I can imagine that might be worth sorting

Sorry to assist in the E30 hijack, but my E30 friend uses a lot of Z4 parts IIRC, including the rear diff. I do know his car was only geared for 209 km/t. Hopeless on the Autobahn, although funny for the rest of the Nürburgring 2008 group, but perfect for the Nordschleife. He was only just clipping the rev limiter in top gear over the crest at Swedenkreuz before braking.
    Thanks

Spot on with hopeless on the Autobahn, but perfect for the Nordschleife. I think we are also almost hitting the rev limiter. Not sure if we have the 3,64 or 3,9 diff. (Running on 205/50-15 R888s.)
However I think we logged the highest speed in bottom of Fuchsröre 213-214 GPS km/h. 5-10 km/h less over crest at Swedenkreuz if I remember correct.

Yes, 260+ km/h at the speedo Looking forward to logg it with the GPS and see the real speed. I hope I can manage to get it down at least one time this year.

I am currently planning a new trip 22-23 august. But that will be with RyanAir again... Need to work out my brakes on the S2 first, dont trust them 100%. It is OK for Rudskogen were the sand traps can be useful, not too cool to hit the barrier at the Ring

3.9 is off a 325i sport, I think that it's the gearbox that is different on the sport (closer ratios) so the stock open diff in a 325i should be 3.9. It's the larger case diff too so can handle more power if you go 24V/S50 etc. (the 4.1 I am getting is smaller case, correct for 318is and same as OE gearing). A friend will be selling the 3.9.

It is a standard wilwood brake/clutch master cylinder

When I bought the setup I got the choise of a couple of different piston sizes, depending on the rear caliper piston size.

Good solution with the Z3 steering rack, have heard others also using it
Short shift with POM bushings already mounted I hope we also can find a cheap LSD diff... Right now it is a little unpredictable with the open rear diff, sometimes the rear end comes out and sometimes not

But lets not get into details regarding the bimmer, I might get blacklisted here
