Not entirely sure they'd be the best place for that!

Right! Had a bit of a day with the car - looks like it needs new back brake calipers as I'm not getting the whole lot pushing on one side, but I've got the wheels on (although I can't drive it, nowhere near enough thread into the hub!) and the trims on the side (need a couple of the plastic nuts for the front wheelarch jobs - part numbers would be extremely helpful!) and I've clayed it to get the rust dust off it - not got any decent pictures though! So you'll have to settle for this one - it's about the best of the ones I took:

If you've got stock rear brakes you may as well upgrade them to s2central's 280x22 setup.

Good good. The rear calipers are never great even when working as they should. You might be better off just looking for a recon place.

I would, but the bits are apparently all very backordered - plus with £200 of disks I'm not too keen on changing them just yet!

I ordered all the parts from quattrocorner and had them delivered within a week. Ive got a set of the calipers spare as when i came to do my upgrade, to my suprise i already had them fitted!

The only other things you need are the carriers, discs and longer bolts.

EDIT: You'd need pads as well

If you can hold on for a few weeks to see what's happening with the other half's money then I probably will consider them... I don't entirely wish to spend a fortune on replacing them with the standard bits either... Will have to see!

It was Pete at QC that told me most of the stuff is massively backordered, so he wouldn't even sell me them

Project cancelled... Sensible offers on the car please - honestly it needs a new NSR caliper and it's got a small coolant leak from the outlet on the front of the block, but other than that it's in fine working condition. Comes with the bits for the exhaust to pass an MOT, the original 16" wheels and all the service history I've got for it.

                      Sorry about this guys...

Another change of plan, the other half has told me I'm not allowed to give up on it! So it's a case of even more steady progress. Chassis rebuild in the next month or two, engine rebuild in July/August time.

The issue was the coolant thing, as I'm having to use it as a daily driver but instead she's told me to go get the bike I was looking at now rather than a month's time.
