Did you clean the gearbox with a toothbrush or with the glass wizard?

Edit, heres a better picture on the finish, didnt get off all the black paint everywhere, but it´s a gear box and placed under the car

Are you going to spray anything on the gearbox to protect it or just leave it as it is under there?

some time in the garage today also.

blacked out the front lamps, i am going to buy new glass also since they are really bad.



then i cleaned rear wheel arch, and started on front, pics on rear arch:








tomorrow i will do the front wheel arch, little more messy there..

thank you, didnt had time to clean the other today, have spent 10hours on installing a rollcage in an volvo 242 with supra mk4 engine, half cage done, and then im going to tigweld it. so my rs will be sleeping for a while

little update

some parts from VAG and so. will mount the blacked out lamps to the weekend and some other parts.

the stuff:

Lamp glass right/left with new seals
bottom steering joint (correct name?)
steering joint (correct name?)
new locknuts to this
nordicaudi streamer
led lamps for parkinglight.

"bottom steering joint" would be = "guide joint"

"steering joint" would be = "tie rod end"

I would suggest to change 8A0412323D "mounting cups" as well - they are usually damaged and make unpleasant sound when turning steering wheel till end

usually "stop buffers" 895412131 are damaged too
