The plate is 50mm thick and it will cater for bores up to 83.5mm.

It would be nice to find something like that available in the USA for us to use.Originally posted by Mark HalliganHere's a couple of pictures of the torque plate used for the boring/honing, an expensive bit of kit! If anyone is doing a rebuild in the future and wants to have the block bored/honed using one, contact Aelred through Steve H or me and drop your block off with him and he'll get it fully prepared for you.

P.S. sorry if that sounds like a blatant ad, but he does know his stuff.Kenneth

Looks more like a pressure relief valveOriginally posted by Doug_RS2Here is a picture of the oil return valve for "modified engines". It looks too different from standard so I didn't use it.
(the one thats behind the oil temp sensor in the oil pump)

Looks very nice. Does this mean evything is sting to go back together now?
BTW - I tapped the hole for the turbo oil feed in the oil filter housing - and attached a JIC adapter - you can still do that - it get's rid of another gasket and adapter.S2,RS2,S4 WB,RS4,S4 B8,RS6 C5,RS6 C6,R8Comment

Well the engine itself is ready to go in, but I have to do a lot of re-plumbing and some re-wiring too, as it is going in with the modded AAN IM and a resited air filter.Originally posted by Doug_RS2Looks very nice. Does this mean evything is sting to go back together now?
I never thought of that, no time now though, its going to be a race to get it all done and run in for when Mihnea is back, I am aiming to get it on the road for the end of August, trouble is is needs an MOT too, so I have to **** about getting a CAT fitted to my exhaust to get it through.Originally posted by Doug_RS2BTW - I tapped the hole for the turbo oil feed in the oil filter housing - and attached a JIC adapter - you can still do that - it get's rid of another gasket and adapter.

P.S. I need to get some BIG injectors too, as the RS2 one's are going to be too small.Mark - ModdedComment
