Back from the 'ring

Did some nice laps but the best bit was on the GP circuit... ****ed off a few folk on it! Overtook some real nice motors on the nordschleife too

I have found some photos but none as yet on the GP circuit, which was between 17:30 and 18:00 on the 9th if anyone knows where to look.

Car was good. Still little missfire, it's very annoying! No idea how to work out which coil it is. I had to revert to my coils as the set I bought from forum member weren't working. It may be an lhd/rhd wiring issue but had no time to check. Also my downpipe is cracked badly right at the turbo on the weld so will need to contact supersprint. Anyone got any stainless mig wire in Aberdeen?!

No bother manny knew you were busy.

I had a loose plug a few months back, think the coil pack and boot got toasted due to loose plug.
Was only missing off boost when under load
Changed the boots/plugs and the miss went away but when taking the plugs out I noticed no 2 plug was always coked up?
Swapped the two POS on the bulkhead round first to see if the coked up plug would move but it stayed at no 2
Was going to swap injectors but got a coil pack off ebay and decided to try that first Jobs a bobby

Well, been a while so a quick update...

Car's fked! More specifically, the brakes failed the night before going offshore, fortunately I knew they had gone before they had actually gone if that makes sense! Anyway I haven't looked at it yet but hope it is an easy fix!

I am booked to go to knockhill in April, and the Ring in Sept along with the Italian GP. Before knockhill I need to get this Bloody hesitation sorted. I have a speare set of coils but they didint let it fire at all, so need to try them again, also I got a 1.8T set to try but I think it is something else... It has always said maximum boost exceeded when VagComd so not sure why that is, I have a new N75 from Bo to try, and I am going to fit the EVO IC and Mark H when home too to see if that helps.

It is sometimes cutting out at 4K though, I dont know why, any ideas? It is not like when the cam hall sender went. When that went, if you were at WOT and kept it there it would die at 4K and not pick up again until it reached idle. If you took your foot off of WOT when it was doing this it would recover. Now it just Kangaroos around at 4K? Oh, I vagcomd it the other week and it said something about TPS short to + i think... I have had no time to investigate though. Any suggestions welcome

On the upgrade front, I have just got some 7a cams

What injectors would you guys reccomend? I am thinking of 3071 /6 or CT355 turbo. Id like the power to come in fking hard

maximum boost exceeded, my old S2 had this problem and it turn out to be the diaphram in the waste gate.

Hmm, yeah sounds like a good place to look, can these be bought from somewhere still? or is it new WG time?

Search for WG diaphragm and you'll find part number... Easiest way to check it is sucking on the vent pipe atop the WG - it must be airtight. This is a problem if you have the cap removed to expose your WG adjuster nut as the cap can no longer be airtight - fine for operation but a bummer for testing - big fat thumb needed

Yours should be in 1.5-1.6 bar range max... tailing off to ~1.3bar... but if you are getting 4k cutouts then its the dreaded air leak - easy to say, but a right booger to find sometimes.

so you think the 4 k cutout is pressure pipe leak related? I wander how good the seal is on the pipes to the ECU and boost gauge as they dont have hose clips, a tiny leak there could make a huge difference! I suspect it is the XM to IC though, I was never happy with the fit there...

CT355 I would recommend the Siemens Deka 630 ccm injectors.

My URs WG was badly worn, the stem in the guide. Twas cutting out at 4k unless you pressed the throttle slowly.
Diaphragm was fine. Changed it for good used one and it sorted it!
