Not much has happened to the S2, running about in an A4 1.9tdi quattro so the S2 is off the road for up[grades (and save money on fuel, 45mpg average v 19 )

Still collecting parts though, and this is the latest;

Yes you will need some spacers if you want to keep the 255s. about 8mm I would think.
I am running ET35 on an 8.5 with 245s and use a 3mm shim to clear the steering arm

How far can you shim out with a flat shim before the wheel stops centering itself?

Do the tyres flex inwards under hard cornering? How much clearance is needed between the tyre and the steering arm?

Not sure mate, mine seem fine no contact with the steering arm. 3mm shim is about the most you can shim before you lose the usefulness of the hub spigot I think.
Have you eaten that hedgehog yet?

After getting the remains of the 90 out the garage, changing the power steering rack and all the adjusters on the A4 and a quick service the S2 is finally in the garage!

It has been sitting outside for almost a year, so had started to grow algae, leaked inside etc.

After a couple of washes it cleaned up ok, and the white mould just wiped off the interior.

I am going to try and sort the rear quarter a bit better, and buy a paint gun. A previous repair from before I bought the car has also disintegrated, so I want to pull all the filler off and again sort and paint.
