Yet another S2 conversion in USA

    Hello To all
I've been part of this forum for some time now and I've been learning alot from many people and i would like to thank everyone for all your help and PARTS.. Josh, Tristan, Paul, Dave, Charlie, Ben and i cant ever forget my Lovely Wife Martyna.

Ever since i have been in the Auto Scene for many years and i've always love the Audi Coupe and even more the S2 but i never found one until this year.
I picked up one of these:

Its a 1991 Coupe with 200K on the clock. As you could see from the pictures it need some work but how can you go wrong for $400. It runs and drivers but i needs the following items:
    - Front end work= all bushing for control arms and subframe, tie rods, shocks, strut mounts
    - Front end needs a paint job
    - Diff lock doesn't work
    - Fog lights dont work
    - Rear tail lights leak
    - Very little Heat in the car
    - Radiator
    - Power steering pump

After getting the car registered and insured. I changed the power steering to a V6 pump and the brakes to vacuum, see below:

The brakes feel so much better now and there is no bomb in the engine bay:

Talking to some people only and they talked me into doing a turbo swap into the coupe, so thanks to Ben who found the URS4 and thanks to Charlie who sold me the URS4 which looked like this:

So the Easy part was now done. i got the Coupe running, i brought a running URS4 and this is where the fun begins.

I had to search for a intake manifold fro a ABY so i found Tristan who is a great guy and helps me out a lot with parts, he was able to send me one of these:

but i really didn't like the way that look so i changed it a bit:

So the intake was here and complete and now onto the intercooler and cross member:
    stock and black paint removed

little damage to the cross member but its OK:

    and the finish product:

The wire Harness- I found one on ebay and i have to take some pictures of it. It took me 1 month before i got it but it came complete with every plug and 1 cut ground.

Duel Performance is the name of my garage. Me and my buddy have started something and trying to get our name out.. Hopes this helps..

I will try to update every time i work on either cars..

I hope to have the engine out on saturday so i could Sand blast the block and clean everything up.

Ok i got some more pictures:
                    Before

                    After

That was on wednesday night.. I basically ripped eveything apart and preped the the engine to be pulled the follwoing day.
but before i pull the engine out i wanted to oull the timming belt off because it would be easier now then after in the stand. Ive heard all the horror stories of people breaking tools and snapping breaker bars, but i didn't believe them until i tried.. OMFG this thing is on tight..

So i had to make a tool..
                    this is what i made:

After some fighting and all i finally did it..

                    Hurray its out..
The next few days i will be cleaning and painting a couple of things.. i also will be doing the timming belt and gaskets...

I have a question to anyone and everyone.. In the URS4 can anyone tell me where is the diff lock pump located???? my diff lock in the coupe is not working so i wanna swap it..

The diff lock doesn't really have a pump, there is a vacuum actuator on the diff and there is a vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold

                          I got a question..
i'm going to be making my own ehaust system and i wanted to get some feed back on the size..
Should i go with a full 3" exhaust from the turbo back or should i keep the stock downpipe and then do a 3" cat back or should i leave the stock downpipe and continue with a 2.5" cat back????
i also remember seeing on the forum here a DIY exhaust wrote up.. does anyone know where i could find it??

                          Thanks
                          Merry Christmas to all

                            I think 3" is enough.
If you would have more or about than 600HP, then mare than 3" makes sence.
