glad to hear it...will it be out at Combe next month then if the exhaust is quietened down theThere's been thoughts of selling but I've decided to keep the car and fit all the bits I've been hoarding for it, Wagner kit etc
Maybe go for 5 coils? Would I have to convert to ABY or AAN ecu and loom?
Sort the exhaust so its not so loud (needs to pass CC noise test for example..) bigger back box I think and extra holes for wideband and egt.
Move battery to under rear seat.
Sort petrol tank vacuum , vent to atmos.
Mods to catch tank.
Find and fix leak in hydraulic system
Fit opening rear window kit.
Recover and refit headling.
Fit the pair of black leather Recaros from and E30? BMW

you'd need to have the head off to weld on the boss for the hall sender.Leave a comment:

I agree, this is by far the easiest way.... but, the dizzy makes one hell of a racket.... It would be really good - at this stage to get rid... would make the engine sooo much quieter.....
Not necessary, but how much extra work for a better result?

You can keep the Dizzy in and use it for a hall sensor only and convert to coils ala early AANLeave a comment:

I am also thinking of doing this, but would not want to do all this and keep the noisy dizzy... I think it is worth modding for a hall sender at the front at this stage - although it does mean some extra work....You would need ABY or AAN ECU and then you can just swap the pins in the ECU plug. Just get some coils from Efiexpress, 034motorsport or from an Audi S6 with the new V8 engine. I can dig out the part no. if you like.
I would think you could do it in a day if you have all the components.
If you find out exactly what to do, can you let me know...!

Good news, far too many projects are never seen through and the blood and sweat is worth it in the end ( I'm trying to motivate you and myself
)

Old bumpers off and sunroof replaced, trim to go back in yet but going to wait for it to rain and sit in it watching where the water comes in

I've got a big pile of stuff to do now Jamo. I have Wagner inlet and exhaust manifolds and the intercooler and crossmember kit to fit. I have front and rear bumpers and a good pair of early headlights and a set of H4 type HIDs for them. I have a complete metal sunroof to replace my glass one which has rotted out where the glass bonds to the metal frame. I have a set of opening rear windows to fit too.
My ur is having a new prop bearing fitted at the mo down at White Cottage Quattros so when that is done I'll be taking the S2 off the road for a while to get all this done, hoping to sort the water ingress too while the trim is all out for windows and sunroof
When this is all done I'm thinking cams again for a bit more top end hit
I just have to sell a couple of Dennis mowers to make space in the garage
