Got back the repaired oil filter housing yesterday. While I was waiting for some gaskets/seals to come in today I cleaned up and painted the housing and alternator bracket. So hopefully this will cure my oil leak issue...

Nice work Justin! I like it a lot with V8 front end. What about the rear fenders?

Thanks Emil... The rear will be converted as well at a later date as I am moving 3000 miles away next week so focused on getting the car back on the road and ready to move. I already have the rear V8 bumper but still need some things, mainly the rear doors of a V8 and the rear quarter panels which must be cut out and replaced and welded on the 200. Once I am settled again after the move I will continue to collect parts to continue with the conversion.

          Oil leak is solved...

Pentosin leak has slowed down but still leaking a drip every 10 seconds or so. When I mash the brake pedal the brake light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off. I also feel a "click" in the pedal when doing so. Does that sound like a bad bomb and if so could it fail in a way to block flow of pentosin?

After the first heat cycle there is oily residue floating in my coolant expansion tank...Im hoping that it was just residue left in the engine over from before...

Got some new rear tie rods, these should cure the bowlegged schoolgirl position the rear wheels are stuck in right now...

Did another heat cycle and no more of that oily residue crap came int the expansion tank

Got the rear tie rods on so I can now get a proper alignment. The problem with putting on new parts is that it makes everything else around it look worse. Must resist the urge to pull all this off for a clean up but I will be revisiting this scene soon for a proper go around.

and got this dirty little hooker off. Cleaning up all the lines, banjo bolts, reservoir, and screen. Now waiting on a replacement pump and a temporary bomb replacement, this one will probably be sent off to Dave for a recharge. Front end should be going back together in a few days once I get those, knock on wood...

Late night in the garage but No More Leaks!

Replaced the bomb, pump, all the seals, cleaned up all the lines, reservoir, and filter. I stripped the fitting on the bomb to servo line, went to my local napa which had some pre flared 3/16 lines and bent a new one up, bit of a pain but I don't care as my leaking issues are solved. Reassembly of the front end tomorrow er rather later today.

Front end reassembly commencing, made up some brackets and mounted the headlights, actually worked out pretty well they feel nice and sturdy in there...

                      Thanks Quattrostyle

Barely passed emissions 217 ppm/220ppm hydrocarbon limit, My guess is the cats are toast who knows how old they are and it probably doesn't help that the previous driver had the O2 sensor disconnected for god knows how long.

Got an alignment today, actually came out okay, also I unwound the preload screw on the rack like 3-4 turns as someone thought it would be a good idea to screw it completely down, literally had to fight the wheel after making a turn

(rear bumper and trim are still off with hopes that Marc Swanson can supply a trailer hitch, finger crossed)

The car has a weird intermittent bucking that I haven't been able to find any pattern to yet. No codes have shown up but it feels like I imaging overboost would feel like but the whole car like vibrates when it happens. At first I though it was maybe bad gas that sat in the tank for the last 6 months but i filled up with premium and it still continues. Then I was thinking a trippy ABS (happens when I'm not hitting the brakes) I do have a worn pad light on the dash that I think is new and all the pads don't seem excessively worn. Or now maybe I'm thinking maybe something with the tranny/diff I just don't know. It wasn't doing this before when I drove the car home after I bought it. It feels more violent than what I think the fuel pump cut off would feel like but maybe I'm wrong as I have never experienced it.

Some other things to address to...
                      - cannot for the life of me get the right hood pin adjusted so the hood stays closed, spent like 4 hours trying to adjust that stupid thing, it either pops up after driving 5 feet or gets stuck in the grove and have to pop it out with a hammer and screw driver and like 15 minutes
-front chrome trim is being stubborn to line up and pops up when hood is open
-need to modify the cross member intercooler support as the side brackets get in the way when trying to tighten the bolts down that hold the bumper bracket to the car, bumper is currently held on with one bolt per side

This car is wearing me thin and I'm starting to lose patience with it as it...

keep the faith, you'll get it sorted. Looks really cool, but it shouldn't have the roof rails really which make it looks like a coffin carrier

Thanks quattrostyle. I actually like the roof rails look-wise and they are helpful for moving stuff.

Well the car successfully made the 3000 mile journey from one coast to the other where I moved to. I drove my coupe and my dad drove the 200 with a trailer...

                          long drive...

used it to get some furniture too, is this why these get the nick name rocket couch?lol...

and my wastegate cap and valve cover have champagned themselves, so now I have a gold n silver themed engine lol...

So I gave the car so much needed attention this weekend. The car has been sitting in my apartment complex parked halfway on the curb for the past month unable to start. The culprit turned out to be the starter, in particular the wire from the solenoid to the motor was so corroded it basically crumbled apart when I touched it. So replaced the starter....

Also replaced the MFTS and the after run fan/pump sensor. Replaced the MFTS plug connection as well as the current one was so corroded.

Sent my injectors off to Witchhunter Performance to be clean and flow tested, got them back late last week so put them back in while I was playing with the car.

A few months ago I replaced the hydraulic pump and brake pressure accumulator, since then I have had pentosin spots on the pavement where ever I park the car. The problem seems to be that the home depot screw clamps just cant handle the load to keep the hoses on the reservoir tight enough to not leak. I got a different style clamp that seems like it will work much better. I broke the pentosin float sensor from refilling the reservoir so often so im on the hunt for a replacement.

The car was filthy with 3000 miles worth of bugs and crud on the engine and bumper so I took the opportunity to power wash the engine bay and rest of the car.

Next up on the list of things to do is investigate why my rear calipers are leaking brake fluid...

Was having some charging issues so I replaced the alternators voltage regulator. With the advice from some fellow members I got an external adjustable on form here... http://www.davebarton.com/AdjustableVoltage.html. Started her up after to 14.1v at the battery and adjusted up a bit to a steady 14.5v. Its a nice little kit that was easy to install and works great!

                              the kit..

                              alternator end

                              regulator mounted

                              steady 14.5v at the battery...

While I was under the car poking around I banged the cats with the screwdriver handle and it sounded like a bag of marbles inside, seems like its time to clear them out next.
