Great project Mr newsh - quite an inspiration as well with the time and dedication (and money) spent there - I just whizzed through much of the entire thread. Impressive !Paul Nugent

Rear screen in!
Need to find some seat belts or a pair of hangers, mine are looking sad, UV damage

Spent some time rebuilding my wing mirrors, cleaning, replacing rotten spade connectors, repairing cut wires from dodgy spray jobs and fitting new sleeving.
Back end of the car is coming together
Some stuff inside
And the screen is in
New door rubbers have arrived from Audi Tradition. All the new rubber stuff from AT is fantastic quality, door seals, window and boot seals.
Time to get working under the bonnet when it warms up a bit.

What is the gold stuff stuck to the floor? I'm assuming it is a soundproofing material but the big questions is - if i fit some to my B3 coupe, is is waterproof when it starts leaking again? currently dry but its only a matter of time
It goes without saying the car is amazing but i am also quite liking the tent you have it in there - it is a nice clean working environment

The gold stuff is self adhesive foil backed sound deadening, like the original tar stuff but aftermarket.
To replace the felt I’m going to use a waterproof closed cell foam product. I’ve bought some Dyna Liner to try but not totally sure as it’s adhesive and I’m thinking I might want to remove it later, it’s also bloody expensive, about 200 quid just to do the floor.. I fitted a non adhesive type in my coupe but can’t fit the life of me remember what it was called.
