Installation of the electrical PAS pump is done!
Connected to alternators D+, so it starts automatically.

    A huge relief

I really need to do a cleanup and some repainting in my enginebay

Must be blind because I can only see an electric fan, not a pump.

How many amps does the electricl PS pump draw? Must be a whack to generate all those psi's (Bar's).

There should be a 80A fuse to the pump, im trying with 60A and it seems to be enough.

So how's the pump? Noisy? Powerful enough? Is it an Open unit?

Still don't see it in the circled photo but that is okay.

IF the the power P in watts (W) is equal to the voltage V in volts (V) times the current I in amps (A) *AND* the volts are, say, 13.7 VDC coming off the alternator and you are just squeaking buy on something around 55 amps, then the power the pump is drawing is about 753.5 Watts or just over 1 hp. Interesting.

Well its the only thing in the red circle.
              Looks like this:

The current is probably more like 30-40A, lower when not turning. I can try to measure it someday.
You can barely hear it and feels strong enough!

Anyore pics of the connections on the pump itself? I can spot one banjo bolt output.
Have you tried to feed it with a vehicle speed input to regulate it's pressure or do you reckon it isn't needed? I would not like it to be powered continiously while cruising on higher speeds.

Have been looking for the electic version fitted on Corsa's but i read a lot about failing torque input sensors (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzXxf5iuwDY) so this could be a good replacement solution (very affordable too)

                  I bought the OEM hose.
It had the bolt, a 10mm steel pipe and a couple of decimeters of hose.

Cut the pipe and cut the 8mm pipe coming from the steering in the S2, made a new hose with compression fittings.
                  Turned out great.

It has no input for Vehicle speed or any other input. It has a brown cable for diagnostics.

This pump is great because it controls the RPM automatically depending on flow-demand, so when cruising it´s just spinning without using alot of current.

Looks very similar to the ones fitted to 6R polo, Audi A1 and Skoda Fabia ?
There seems to be a high pressure feed - banjo connection and a low pressure return via just a jubilee clip.
                    Very interesting change.

Those cars are probably using something similar.
Yes, so it´s very easy to connect to the servo.

Today I moved the catchtank to make the booth useable again

Took the car for a spin and it feels really good.
Will attend to a drift-trackday at 26th of April.

                      Really looking forward to it.

What will you do about the valve cover breather?

Well, its unconnected in both ends so, nothing.
On a standard setup its used to reflow the crankcase ventilation to between the MAF and turbo, so no use in my case.

My crankcase ventilation is open to free air.

I need new rear shock absorbers, the rear-end jumps up'n'down lika rabbit and broke the rear diff

I will order a KW Coilover-kit and fix the rear diff.
I´ll also need some new seats and a hydralic handbrake.

I get a new to-do list everytime I use the car

What radiator are you using to allow the use of the AAN inlet manifold ?

                                Custom ?

                                Thanks.
