i have also acquired a frp and carbon fibre rear diffuser which parted company with a mates skyline on a track session, to fit this properly i am going to have to mod my exhaust into a side exit and also thinking of of putting in a screamer pipe aswell but not sure as yet need to confirm where the car will call home for the next few months.

            slowly slowly catch a monkey

colour coded rear subframe new dif mounts and rear bush, polly wishbone bushes, clean and replace boots on the ball joints, 1 new cv boot rear wheels diped and re painted and a set of solid bushes from tonks

pick up new rear discs tomorrow along with a wheel bearing to be fitted and the back end will be to an acceptable state for now

Not seen this one before! I had similar thoughts with my old 3B coupe, putting a longer 6th and joining the 200 club. That's before I stuffed it into a wall. Still want to do it one day, probably buy something for a few months that's capable and take it to Germany

On the remapped K24 I took the coupe off the limiter, by revs it was only 165. I suspect there was not more that 5mph left in, I was topping the power band at that point. I didn't have any stability issues at that point but it was very low and stiff which may have helped.

I do recall Doug building his 200mph coupe, needing to put a custom front bumper on and slamming it toto the ground to keep it stable. He made it to 198mph. That was with the S4 'box and 8000rpm limiter. Looking at the calcs on his thread you'd want 600HP and the S4 box with 7600rpm.

busy day today have got all my exhaust welded and in place just need to cut the folded seam off the sill and wait for the polly mounts, then i can put the final bends in the brackets the raise it up a touch more.

ground clearance is quite good at present but when raised up should clear most speed bumps.

What is the ground clearance like for the exhaust now you have it all fitted up?

its not finished still tied in place but looks to be around between 40 and 60mm lower than the subframe so has compromised clearance slightly.

I have yet to cut the jacking point seam out from the sill and bend up final brackets, then i will take final measurements it looks to be fine from my fag packet maths.

once on coilovers i can raise the ride hight a touch for the road.
