Hey Cees,
I have to say really impressive work, I saw the car a few months back and didnt expected to be on the road again this year. But you two are a good team.
Can you tell us a bit more about your setup
How does the Garret gt35r tubo perform? I know its not mapped yet but when does it boost?
Maybe a few extra pics?Getting everything sorted out for my 5++ hp project

Thanks first, and yes well once we start something it sometimes takes ages, but once when we are having fun tooling it goes really fast.
I`ll try to post some pictures of the whole setup and maybe the build later this weekend.
My setup is allmost the same as jeffs
- je pistons cr 1:8 lowered to 1:7.(something) dont know right now with extra Headgastket
-pauter rods
-balanced crank
-alluminium flywheel
-still on hydrolic lifters.... but not for long
-ABY intake cam
-7A exhaust cam
-homebuild exhaust manifold 321SS
-homebuild inlet manifold (called the ****** turned around 3b manifold soon to be replaced by a proper dual plenum one)
-GT 35R/40R
-from turbo to side-exit 3,5" exhaust
-Intercooler 40x60x7,5cm or something
and a lot of other stuff i`m forgetting rightnow but will post a complete list with the pictures.
The turbo spools pretty good, making real boost at 3000rpm, and i think full at 4000 or something.
But keep in mind my backpressure is pretty high with now one Rs2 cat in the exhaust for MOT. But since i got MOT i dont need the Cat anymore, when cat is removed and exhaust proper fixed i can tell more when boost comes in and stuff.
All in all its a real good car to drive, its pretty good on low rpms, not as bad as i thought it would be.
Will come back on this lateron.
Cheers,
Cees

Are you building that plenum inlet manifold yourself, I know that you and Jeffer where developing one. If so I am interested, I am looking for a front mounted IM
Was te 3.5"exhaust a tight fit?, didnt you use a seperate wastegate pipe, like jeffry his car.Last edited by Erikb; 25 November 2005, 19:52.Getting everything sorted out for my 5++ hp project
