Woah! This guy is real nut breaker when it comes to destroy somebody's reputation he definitly wins the award for doing a good job!

I restored 75% of this car myself and I take full on responsability for every thing that I have done to it since the day I got the car in 2013 but why the hell would I feel responsable for the remaining 25% that was left untouched as no work was required at the time of my ownership. I sold the car as a 20 years old USED partially restored vehicule with a special note in the contract mentioning it needed the replacement of one crank shaft seal and one rear main seal. This note was sign by me and the buyer. The gentleman who purchased my car didnt want to wait until early 2015(as he wanted to drive this car in the winter), only time available for me to complete this work therfore asking price was lowered!
I found this little man''s attitude pretty lame taking close up pictures of a few blemishes which for the most part appear normal wear on a 20 year's old car and in any cases affected the driving quality of the vehicule. Having rust showing on an exhaust shield (Car had no X-haust leak BTW), cracked rubber shock stopper, rustrproofing drips showing off, stains on rubber hoses without any antifreeze leak around??? are all things that DO NOT justifies the need to destroy the work that I personally had put into the car turning this RS2:

      https://www.flickr.com/photos/japanc...th/6869925012/

      into this:

Now if THAT was a piece of **** then please guys tell me so I will have my head checked!

And BTW, I drove the car less that 5000kms over the course of my ownership without any issues and everything was always checked after each road trips done!

And last but not the least, the car has won 2 best of show awards and was checked inside and out prior to judging....

Dont know what else to add but if there are things that could've been improve on this car which Iam not denying, it sure has came a long way from it's original state when I got it!
No one was armed or forced during the sale transaction. The gentlemen received all the pictures of the car he asked and he even has send a friend of his to check the car out so bashing publicly somebody else's work with a couple of unsatisfied pictures which make things look like a hundred time worst and which for some also look out of the proper context is really disrespectful.

If the administrator would be kind enough to delete this opening thread before things get out of control it would be appreciated.

If there is any arrangement to be made it is with the actual owner of the car and no one else especially not in public and especially not with some random Joe Blow having no direct relation what so ever with the car that I proudly sold!

      Thank you

Did you seen the car in real or only on picture like the client who have it now ?

He did a great job if he start to clean the engine and everything around from under the car !

All the pictures we can see, make me thinking about "magician" who know how to make see this way to forget what's append in the other way !

New pictures will come tommorrow !

And pictures will not provide how the car work !

I can come with the list of everything we need to do on this car, after one year of restoration by VW-Autowerk...

Imagine, they sold the car for 50'000U$D without changing engine oil

You obviously have something against me or a serious problem or maybe both but I seriously hope you will stop very soon.

I must have tricked a lot of people and spend countless of hours photoshoping pictures if my car was imdeed a real piece of ****! (

I think some proof that it's the same car would be nice. I saw this car in person. It was pretty much flawless but I didn't go underneath it.

            Vin # confirmation perhaps?

So you think a car came from Japan into Canada and he drove it around for 2000+km's without changing the oil even though he owns a repair shop?
              Doubtful...
In all my years of dealing with Raff (VW-Autowerk) he is quite possibly one of the most **** and meticulous guy you will find in the Ottawa/Gateneu area.

As for your posts. Regardless of what has happened with the vehicle once it left Canada , if the buyer (i.e. NOT YOU) and the seller (i.e. NOT YOU) have a disagreement , they should like 2 grown men come to some arrangement if necessary. If the buyer knew what he was buying and the seller knew what he was selling then it seems to me you have an axe to grind where you should not. How about you let the seller deal with the buyer and you just focus on you.

I confirm! The little man is showing off my car! He is just scratching off every portion of the car to find flaws on it because to him an RS2 sold in the 40k range price (NA market price BTW) should have every single bolts and nuts of the vehicle in new. That person can't conceive that some of it left untouched (with a perfectly good reason) will be affected by the age itself which is 20 years. The gentleman who purchased my car was I believe fully aware of that and again if he has something to say to me only him is inclined to do so.

I AM VERY PROUD OF THE WORK I HAVE DONE TO IT TO PUT IT BACK THE WAY I SOLD IT AND EVEN THU ALL OF THE CAR WAS NOT NEW I REFUSE TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MISAPPRECIATION OF SOME INDIVIDUAL THAT THINK IT COULD'VE BEEN DONE BETTER. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO HAVE AN OPINION ON THINGS BUT SAYING I SOLD A PIECE OF CRAP IS A COMPLETE LIE AND A REAL THREAT TO MY REPUTATION.

There is more that 100 pictures on the link below showing what ONLY me has done to the car! Do you see any engine tear down??

                https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...6351074&type=3

The ONLY piece on the car that could've been installed differently and a little bit better according to my standard quality is the rear spoiler but once it was done it was too late but even that...spoiler was perfectly align and third brake light perfectly functional. Even a misappreciation of that particular item would not justify a complete killing of all my work!
You are pretending I did not change the engine oil AT ALL however there was a sticker in the windshield proving it was done!

All fluids were changed and date and mileage was written on all casing to prove it was done and you even had send me pictures for verification!

You also said to me the Alcantara on the front seats was toasted but other than the 20 years of usage I didnt judge the need to do a full on recovery of the seats neither would have 90% of people. (see pictures above)

You also said the car was sold with ''STUPID'' audi 80 floor mats. What the hell is wrong with you???

You said the back glass surrounding trims were as bad as if dipped in the acid ??!!?
I think it is you who are on acid!

You can provide as many pictures as you like making things look as horrible as you want but the fact and the matter is that I will ALWAYS be proud of MY work and feel responsible of the car from the day I got it to the day I sold it and nothing more. The car was never put on a ''rotisserie'' and there are things that can be discovered on any 20 years old car that don't necessarily hold the seller of the car responsible for everything.

Have to say that interior looks very tired for such a low mileage car....my RS has about 120Ks on it and looks a million times better. Nice paint job though.

I think the problem is what the Swiss buyer assumed what "restoration" meant. Being Swiss, I would wager he thought "restoration" meant that it was perfect in every possible way, as good or better than when TZ 000 407 left the factory. Obviously that was not the case nor was it likely ever presented as being that level of "restoration". Buyer didn't do his due diligence before the purchase and now is apparently disappointed. Too bad.

I think the car was misrepresented. I stated on the first page of this thread that i never believed the mileage claims. Unless there was DOCUMENTED proof showing every oil change and ever tire rotation from 0-37k kilometers in japan, i wouldn't believe the claim. My thought, odometer broke (like they all do), owner bought a new one and drove 37k kilometers on the new cluster.

Now misrepresented or not, I think the seller did do a good job on the paint, orange peel isn't unusual and isn't hard to correct. If I was going to drop 50k on the car, i would probably spend 2k (or less) on a plane ticket and checked out the car in person before having it shipped around the world. The seller stated that he took pictures of everything that was asked for and the saw them and could have asked for better pictures, or more defined. Buyer beware.

I don't understand why you would check a car over with a fine tooth comb after you bought it
