Sorry but that was a bad idea. You have NO idea whether those coilpacks are good, weak or failed just by looking at them. You might get lucky but if you are trying to solve a problem, using unknown/used coils, it is a bad idea.

The whole coilpack conversion that I started in 2005 was meant to be an alternative to the OE POS/coil system. The little coilpacks are NOT better than brand new OE POSs and coils. However, with new coilpacks, the conversion is better than an OE system with issues (failing POS channels and/or coils).

    Good luck.

No I don't, but not everything second hand is bad, and not everyone can afford to buy new straight away. If any of them will be faulty, then I'll send it back, get a refund, and buy a new one.

But you have to ask yourself, why are they "used". The only reason to remove them from a runner is because they have failed, or are about to.

People might fu** people over in Canada, but in UK, if it says "fully working order" it most likely is.

Written off cars get broken in parts.

Must be nice to live in a country where there is no crime or fraud. You are so lucky.

Not saying there isn't any crime and fraud. But that's why you take all the precautions you can to avoid it.

Got the harness today and I must say that is a very nice pice of wiring.

So hooked it all up and she runs like a dream seem to run smoother, and boosts better too now. Seeing 2 bar most of the time when pushing it.

But I have a question, there is like rubber grommet at the top of the coil, do I remove it, or leave it on?

Do you have a boost guage, or are you using the dash readout?

                          Glad you noticed a difference.

I am using the dash one. But I never went more than 1.8 when pushing it, saw 2 bar only when in 6th hear flat out

I am going to London on Saturday, so I'll see how it feels at higher speeds etc.

I'm looking for a nice OEM boost guage install, but not sure where to place it.

2bar standard on the dash read out is interesting, with MTM mine readys upto 2.4, so glad to know it's doing something.

I am thinking of replacing the clock in the speedo with boost gauge, but need to find a perfectly sized one.

It should be 2.1 ideally on mine, but I am happy with 2.0
