Have you considered an electric water pump to give you more flexibility with packaging?

Thanks... but its nothing in comparison to your build(s)! I'm aiming to do a full dry build first then strip it all down and make it look pretty

I did prior to purchasing the TTRS motorsport auxiliary setup, but thought the latter would be easier and is proven. Didn't realise that the 07k and TTRS blocks were slightly different castings in areas. Makes sense now that the turbo'd TTRS/RS3 engine had bigger and better cooling. Anyway I think this setup will work well in the Lotus and reasonably easy to service.

            Finally a productive few days...

Picked up my custom one off engine mount on sat from Alitech Precision. Massive thanks to Darren for helping me out (improving the design) and fitting me in to his busy schedule to get it machined.

Fitted a treat and everything finally clears (y)

So that meant I could start fabrication. Decided to completely remake the exhaust manifold as I needed to move the turbo over and closer to the head to achieve an better weight distribution, although a turbo hanger will still be needed. I managed to get the tracks nearly equal, cyl 5 is a little longer but hey ho. Anyway pictures say a thousand words -

Then I made the 3.5" exhaust. Being advised I might need to swap the silencers for repackable items but we'll see. Chuffed with the results and fit.

Need to weld it all up now.

                    Nice job!
I am not an expert, but I think there is a problem with wastegate.
Exhaust gas press wastegate to open.
But maybe I am wrong. Just thinking loud

The wastegate is build the right way. The exhaust gases have to have easier flow through wastegate than through turbo to make the wastegate work (let some gases to bypass turbo).

                            Perfect job and nice fabrication.

                            As for wastegate position.

Looks great, lots of work gone on there on the exhaust.
Just a question, did you play around with the engine placement to maintain good corner weights?
With the chassis being so light I guess the engine & box together will be 30%+ of the overall kerb weight?
