What about the IMSA 90 quattro engine ? Read somewhere that that was fitted with Nicasil liners and produced a minimum of 720 bhp ! Would be good for your track day !

that pipe is for inlet ducting to give cold air to the air filter. Might be worth looking at flexible silicone hose from SFSperformance or Samco.

Ducting is from merlin motorsport however.

                          @ Doug

Didi you modify the fuelpump housing to fit the bosch 044 pump?
as far as I can see my pump will not go in the way your pump has gone in. There is a small rond filter on the side, that blocks the path for the pump.

Did you get the bigger diameter housing from Audi? Part no's earlier in this thread.

I had to cut that small filter off the top. But I saved the mesh and bonded it back on.(that is to stop debris getting in the filter at the pick up point of the pump). I also had to cut 3 slots in the top of the housing in order for that ridge to slide down further in the housing. There are some pics in this thread of that.

I can look out some more pics, if you want me to better show what I did?

Fook me... I've just had the opportunity to fully read this thread from where I last left it a good few weeks ago...

Doug, what the hell are you trying to achieve here mate? Lift off! A maned trip to Mars? Competing with a McClaren F1? Other? If 'Other', please state

Tis looking very good indeed. And I'm sure it goes very good indeed.

Top work. Top car. (Talking of beer... I still owe you a few Doug... crates of, that is )

There has been a small hitch in this - In a previous life the car has had some severe damage to cylinder 3. I had a spark plug blow out of the head becasue of this damage.

Now I have the engine in 100s of bits.

I am replacing all bearing shells, new Pauter conrods so I don't have to worry about standard rods bending, Ross Racing pistons(becasue the cylinders have to be rebored bigger) with a deeper dish to lower compression ratio(run more boost at high rpm) and a modified clutch.

I have also removed the aircon as this lets me get to the turbo and hoses a lot easier.

Also got rid of the aux radiator - again lets me get easier access to everything.

I have the Autospeed Intercooler mister controller, nozzles and water bottle to install.

Installed the short shift kit - makes it feel faster!

And finally I have a genuine RS2 bumper for extra cooling to everything - it also makes it easier to install the intercooler mister.

That is all I want to do. And the new target is 440bhp and 600Nm+

I aim to have this at GTI International.
