I leave Leicester on thursday, so will probably pass you coming into calais when i go out! Im not sure whether the slipstream will work although i might get one from you passing me at 100mph especiallyin a big merc!
p.s Sorry about hi-jacking the thread! I blame David and his nine year old influences!
ok a quick update on the pricing for those 'big black' brakes for the Porsche928 GTS/S4.....
The original contact I had blew me out after promising me a fair bit but I have found a coupleof other places who are quoting. i have the first back..

I don't normally offer a "deal" on the calipers outside of the kit but have
worked up the following for you.
**FYI: Porsche "suggested" retail is $398.15 each.**
My normal selling price is $355.85 each.
If you are interested in 2 or more pair, I can go down to $300 each ($600
pair). Sorry, this is the best I can do - as a Porsche Parts Dealer, I do
not get any "quantity" discounts from Porsche no matter how many I purchase.
Of course, these prices are plus shipping. I ship for what ever the carrier
charges at the time of shipment. I will ship with either UPS Worldwide or
the US Post Office by request. I have found the UPS to the UK is typically
very cost effective and will arrive in less than a week - whereas the post
office will take anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks for air.
These prices will be good through the end of March. New pricing comes out
the first of every month so come April, I will have to re-check my cost. If
my cost is still the same, I will be happy to still offer you the same deal.

I have a couple more to reply back to me, hopefully in the next couple of days.
Its coming Greg - just asked her to give me an idea of shipping charges and I have found the details on importing motor parts, vat code and import duty etc......
Also just had another one land in my inbox and i have asked him to quote now i have given him some extra info.
Ant....lets see, i am looking at all options and avenues at the moment to maintain the costs.....
I still think that £320 (new) for the pair before duty, tax etc is pretty good compared with i think £650 each which someone quoted ealier but you are right, the import duty and such like can easily spoilt the party!
I found the link I was looking for, the later 993TT caliper seems to be monobloc as well. I don't know if the current calipers nick named big red are the same size as the old 993TT. these images are from ultimategarage.com via
