The invoice is correct & shows the GSF part number P64044 for Boxter S/996. But the Textar label on the box says 911 Turbo GT3 & the pads look way different from the Pagid ones I fitted - I don't recognise those shiny lugs. GSF must have put the wrong picking label (P64044) on the box...Looks like a few more days of squealing.
Peter they are GT3 Rears / 996 carrera fronts. I believe. Mine fit in beautifully.

Still not on the road yet!

The Textar pads have been in a few days now & the squealing has all but gone. I just get an occasional faint squeal when it comes to rest now

Anybody want to buy some Porsche 996 Pagid Fast Road pads ? The friction material was obviously a poor match for my Brembo discs....

To be honest David I haven't noticed any performance drop with the Textar's. They seem perfectly adequate for road use.

            Jamo,
I guess you were lucky your's came with those Ferodo's already fitted. They're about £150 a chuck aren't they ? I was trying to keep the cost down.

I'll be unlucky when i come to replace them, if those Textars are fine i'll get them through my GSF contact at a nice price.

Just checking, its 1mm I have to file off those pad guide pins eh?

Also, is there somewhere online I can order the anti squeal shims? Or a phone number?

Good luck if you use a file! Apparently they are stainless steel? so an angle grinder is called for I reckon

I used a flat mill and it worked fine. I measured the shortest pad guide with vernier, and subtracted 1mm and made all the pins the same height. You need to watch for the guides turning. The guides have a groove in them up in the caliper and the drift pins holding them are not perfectly tight sometimes. Each pin took about 10 minutes and I was taking my time. Duct tape off the inside curves of the caliper. Prevents you from nicking the powder coating.

If they are stainless, I have rusted wear areas from the pads. Either that or cheap stainless.

I guess the pins dont easily come out?

Sorry, must be, I screwed up on the subtle differences in the King's English and the States English.

When I said flat Mill, I just meant a flat mill hand file, not a large mill. You can file the pins by hand.

I tired with a file but I guess it was a cheap one - hardly able to remove any material. A bad workman blames his tools and all that!
