  • CoupeQuattro rear brakes bolt-on upgrade version

A version for Coupe Quattro typ89 bolt-on rear brakes upgrade with 5x112 lug pattern:

    Rear hubs from A4 B5 Quattro OE VAG p/n 8D0 501 653 B (+8mm track outwards each side)
    Cast iron calipers from UrQuattro/200(44)/V8(D11)/UrS4(4A)/UrS6(4A) for 269mm brakes VAG p/n 447 615 423(4)
    Rear caliper carriers from S8(D2) 280mm VAG p/n 4D0 615 425 C
    Brake discs A4(B5) front == S8(D2) rear 280mm VAG p/n 8E0 615 301 B(P)
    Brake pads, let's say, VAG p/n 1J0 698 451 L

~~2-mm-thick M10 washer is to be placed between hub carrier and caliper carrier.

Caliper carrier bolts must be replaced to smth at last 4mm longer than native ones. The easiest and cheapest way is to use OEM VAG bolts N 101 815 02 (M10x1.25x40) and cut away redundant thread.

    Great
B5q rear hubs open up a few possibilities actually.
I have parts here for something similar to use 310x22 Phaeton rear disc
    Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
    Indigo ABY coupé
    Imola B6 S4 Avant

310 can be installed with these calipers and custom brackets.

They must be great with something about ~345 brembos on the front.

For truck not for a street sporty coupe
        345 weighs a ton!

          I have
Audi B5 A4 rear hub (I had original s2 hubs, but for this setup i need that extra 8mm that the a4 hub has)
          Audi urS4/6 rear calipers
Audi B5 S4 rear caliper brackets
Audi B5 S4 rear vented brake disk

            Good version too.
Inexpensive brake disk 8D0 615 601 D, but caliper carrier 8D0 615 425 was unaffordable under my circumstances.

              or just like i did:

              a4 b5 quattro rear hubs
              rs4 b5 caliper-brackets (unmodified)
              girling 41/43 from urs4/urs6
              standard brake line
              standard hand brake cable
              rs4 b5 brake discs

this is really pnp for 312mm on the S2 coupé and fits perfectly..

Your solution is the best Wolfgang, just the cost of the RS4 rotors is pretty crazy!

to hav TOO big brakes on its too silly.. spec in the rear end.. i hav 330mm rotor on my s6 car... and this car are a heavy vagon... 18" rims are the smalles one.. and the tyres cost alot...
big brakes are a good idee, but not too big...!! its heavy also..

                      Must the hub be from RS4 og can I use a hub from a 1.8t a4 b5?

I believe that all B5 quattro rear hubs are the same?

                            Hello,
                            I have this setup: https://www.s2forum.com/forum/techni...e-on-the-front

I would recommend something similar. Calipers with 4 big pistons (40/44mm), 2 halves (non-monoblocks). Radial-mounted calipers would be smarter of course (Audi RS2, Porsche, Alfa-Romeo etc.) I'm planning to change my calipers to ones from RS2 just because I have found original ones with original brackets (for the sake of authenticity) though RS2 calipers have smaller pistons.

Would not recommend Cayenne 17Z/18Z: in my opinion they are too big and heavy for small chassis audis, leave them for big-chassis 44/4A etc.

Tandem vacuum booster with 25-27mm main cylinder (I have one from Allroad 4F).
Extra vacuum reservoir would be nice to have. Planning to install one from Volvo.
