HIDS......Nope, no smart answer to that one I'm afraid, except that if Fatty is OEM with those blatant wheels, a set of HIDden lights can't be too bad

Yes you have, a few years ago at Combe when I took Mark out for a scare around the track whilst he was trying to take pics out of the sunroof - It was the greeny/brown one - or camouflaged as I call it

Be good to catch up with yas though. Are you coming to Billing?

              Angel Eye Lamps

Hi chaps I know there is a difference of opinion on these units.
However I have normal beam headlights on my S2 I want projectors I don't want to pay projector prices. I am also fitting them on a freshly painted crystal silver car so i am not to worried about the silver edge on the lamp.
So I paid my £135 and they landed today. I have read all about how to change the beam from LHD to RHD which was great thank you Jas11n.

So here is my 2pence worth of information.

I have attached a couple of photo's. If you drill 4 small holes in the following arrowed positions you can undo the screws. The bottom 2 screws actually hold the plate so remove them fully. the top 2 screws just put enough pressure on the plate to trap it so just slacken them a couple of turns.

Then you can slide the plate inside the unit and out through the main beam slot.
A little fiddly but very straight forward. Replace the plate in the same way but flipped over obviosly...

Replace the bottom2 screws and tighten the top 2 screws

              No cutting........Job done.

The second picture is a shot of the projector. You can just make out where the plate sits through the lens...

I have not fitted them to the car yet as it's still at the paint shop. I should get it back tomorrow hopefully...

I'm not sure what it will look like yet so I will play with a few options.

What have you done with yours in the end????

I know it’s a bit of a daft question but does anyone know if the lights go through an English mot

After looking at them on the car they look good. LINKY to Pic thread . Is the silver part of the lamp/headlight accessable? i.e. could it be painted. I have a Pearl white 80q that I would like to put these on, but the silver edge may look weird.

If you are brave the silver part could be accessed. I tried to pry off the lens cover but I did not want to crack the plastic lens.... It is some sort of industrial glue they use to stick that ****** on!!!!

Has anyone got a picture of how they wired these lights up?
I have a pair but the instructions aren't great and I'm not too clued up on electrics if I'm honest.
