No probs - post the pics of your 7A plugs - would be a useful appendix to the guide for those conversions.

Are you on manual or digital AC ?

Yeah, the old funky digital... I hate it.

          Here are some pictures:
All these were hooked up to the original harness

only the Yellow wire was hooked up(trip computer/ MPG)

Not sure if this one was hooked up.

          This was hooked up

          This was hooked up

This is over by the Climate Control, I forget what it hooks up to, i'm sure it is obvious when i have the dash back in

          Crappy Climate control hook up.

Here is the part number on the climate control (there is a hidden plug taped to it, you can see the three wires)

Why not replace crappy old digital with newer digital ?

All you need is the right donor vehicle - either a B4 or B5... you really want the head unit from B4 though so it can be coded for 5-cyl so that the compressor speed signal can be ignored.

Thx for the pics - will try to solve them.

Well I ended up putting in a standard, b4 manual climate control, I still have the same plugs un hooked, the ones above, plus just a couple on the aby harness. namely:

                  T1F
                  T6R
                  T5H

T1f i'm not worried about since it is reverse lights, I'm most concerned about t5h, i would like the afterrun pump to work and i'm affraid it won't work properly without it hooked up. T6r i'm not worried about since I have no idea what it is for. Under the hood I have one question regarding the plug on the Heater core hose, there is a blue plug on it presumably a temperature sensor, however i do not have a wire to plug in. Also my EVAP system is not hooked up currently, will this cause a no start condition?

                    Dave:
That temperature sensor is for the climate control system only and will have no impact on the ECU/engine running - its a completely separate system. was on the B3/B4 and also the C4.....

The three plugs that don't have homes on the ABY Harness... The only one I'm concerned about its T5H, I would like the after-run pump to work properly, only when the engine is off.

Oh you mean T1f, T5h and T6r that don't show as that on 7A engined CQ - that is your main vehicle loom that you are grafting ABY into - right ?

Let me dig out the Bentley and see where these pins appear on US CQ - what year is yours Ruffiano ?

T1f - Reverse lights - look at sheet 94-50-7 attached... You want T5a/2 which is a 5-pin plug in right side of engine compartment - guess that was on 7A loom - so seek out T2n/1 (blue/red wire) - apparently a white bodied 2-pin plug on right side of engine room.
