Looking for 2 plug Central Locking Pump Wiring Diagrams

Need your help tracking down C4 wiring diagrams for the 4A0862257A, 257C and/or 257H central locking pump. This is the one with no remote and no alarm horn, etc. just key activated central locking with interior lighting control (on when you unlock and off when you lock, no beeping at any point). It only has two input plugs. I need this info to install a RightClick remote/alarm system that I bought back in May.

This afternoon, I *finally* found the time and energy to investigate the non-remote central locking control pump that I have in my 94 UrS4 V8 avant. Turns out that it is a 4A0862257C, a two plug (T6 with 2 wires (power and ground only) and T12 with 11 wires in it) locking and lighting control module. No third T16 plug (related mostly to the alarm system (which this one does not have, not even the horn)). The wiring that I have previously investigated for the T12 connector only had about 7 or 8 wires in it so now I have to figure out what the other 3 or 4 wires mean (they might be ones that are in the T16 plug in the three plug central locking pumps). Previous thread: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/284009.phtml

Joy. Electrical challenges are *always* fun.

By the way, the 257C was replaced by the 257A at some point. 257A went to 257E at the end of May 1997. But then I am told 257E was dropped in favour of 257H on, get this, end of May, 1995. Two years earlier (ouch my brain hurts). 257H was replaced by a "257P" on April 1, 2005 along with a a 4A0971014 adapter harness. Unfortunately, I can't find the application for the 257P to figure out where this "257A" branch really started.

    Owwwwww......

Now to find 257C/257A/257H wiring diagram(s). (all I want is to confirm which wires I need to use for the RightClick remote)

Don't make me beg. (But I will, as needed).

dave,is it a universal remote control that you want to wire on your central locking system?

Well not universal universal. It is a version that supposedly geared to work with VAG central locking pump systems. I currently have key-operated central locking. No factory infrared remote or radio frequency remote. No alarm or arming horn either.

so you only need to know which wires from remote control need to go on the wires from origional central locking for open and close the car?

And the windows and the sunroof via the hold the key in the door in the lock position until they all shut. I don't want to lose that feature just to gain remote locking. So I want to know exactly what each of the 11 wires in T12 connector plug are for and what they are connected to. I imagine that I will need to create a circuit board with some diodes to keep the window/sunroof closing feature.

Off to bed for me. 00:42 here. Catch you guys in a few (7?) hours.

Post a picture or write down wire colors. Most of them can be identified this way.

When I fitted one to a 80avant years ago I traced the wiring from the door switch to under the glove box and connected the wires there.
I remember having to set up the controller for pneumatic locking and + or - pulse.
As this unit has built in control for a car with auto close windows set up should not be to bad as long as you can find the correct cores

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Unfortunately, the Audi 90 diagram is for a 3 plug central locking module, not the 2 plug one like I have. On the 2 plug one 11 of the positions in the T12 plug are filled. I have C4 maps for 3 plug controllers (verified my looking at a 257D unit that I removed at a wreckers - with the pigtails that I purposely cut out of the harness) that matches my 93 UrS4. This is about my German spec 94 S4 V8 "stripper" avant (no remote/no alarm).

Identified how? By comparing them to the diagram that I am missing?

Thanks for the offer Nick. I will probably have to get the scanner up and running and scan the diagram in question.

I know I am not familiar with C4 but if you look at your new device diagram it has 6 wires for connecting to door switches, I remember having to short some together and used others to connect to door switches.
Do you move the key to a 2 stage position to close the windows?
If you do that would indicate you have two separate contacts in each door one for lock signal and one for window closure.
If you have more wires on your pump, is it not because one car has immobiliser system and horn etc and the other does not?

I'm going to order one with the boot release and get garage door closer too

You should have got a information sheet detailing the connection of the 6 wires
orange, white, yellow, orange and black, white and black, yellow and black depending on car type.
I got my one to lock and unlock the doors with just 2 wires and a battery supply.

                          See diagram for example

Yes this is probably the RightClick diagram that I need to find and scan (no need now, thanks). The issue is which wires get tied into the C4 wiring. A door switch wire for sure. Just want to confirm the C4 wiring with a 2 plug locking pump wiring diagram.

Coupe central locking pump is in the back quarter somewhere behind the panel, never went near it, you just need to mimic your action of opening the key with a few wires in the door. when I fit mine I will just ignore all the other wires as I just want
