My unit has arrived at my house but unfortunately I am 6000miles away off the coast of Brasil As you say it starts almost immediately let’s look at the original control unit.
Steps to allow car to lock:
1)Car is not running - control unit sees car off through T12b-2
2)doors are all closed-control unit sees doors closed through door switches T12b-10
3)Lock doors with key – control unit sees lock signal through T12b-4
4)Close windows – hold key over in close position
5)Control unit sees all of the above and allows window closure as you continue to hold close the door switch sending prolonged signal to T12b-4
    6) I can’t see anything else happening to close the windows other that the T12b-2 prolonged signal from the lock switch.
7)I know you are about done with this but if you line tap in to close signal with a length of wire and hold to chassis (same action as holding the key) the doors will close.
8)Prolonged holding of the wire to chassis ground should close the windows? what you think?
    Cheers
    Steve
    1. I am quite sure that with the Right Click, you can lock the doors of a running vehicle (with another key in the ignition)

    2. T12b/10 is very important to the Right Click. I have tested the alarm by sitting in the car in the right rear passenger seat and using the new RightClick remote to lock the doors. Then I pulled up on the door lock pin. Opened the door and the alarm went off. Cleared the alarm by pressing the unlock button on the remote - twice.

    3. I don't think you are right. Story: One day last week, I had locked the car with the remote (therefore the alarm was armed). I then decided to open the drivers door with the key, assuming that this would clear the alarm. Wrong-O dog breath. Alarm was still armed and when I opened the door, the alarm went off. Cleared with two pushes of the unlock button. Not what I wanted. Means you have to have the remote with you to open the car if you locked it with the remote. Also means that if you lock the car with the key, it is not armed, just locked. Different than the factory system for sure.

    4. To confirm the above, I started the car and rolled down a rear passenger window (electric). Then I stopped the engine and got out. Then I locked the car with the key in the driver's door (Briefly, not held in the lock position). I checked for the alarm armed LED flashing. Nothing. Then I pulled up the rear passenger door lock pin and opened the door. Nothing. Then I locked the car with the RightClick remote. Armed LED was flashing. Pulled the rear passenger door lock pin up and opened the door. Alarm went off. Cleared by two pushes on the unlock button on the remote.

Conclusion: The communication between the central locking module is mostly one way. The alarm tells the central locking module to unlock or lock the doors but using the key in the door lock to unlock or lock the car does not disarm or arm the alarm. The alarm is ONLY armed/disarmed by the remote.

    5. At the end of all that I locked the car with the remote, leaving the rear passenger door window still down. Then I used the key in the driver's door to roll up the window by holding the key in the locked position (took about 10 seconds).

    6. T12b/2 has got nothing to do with locking or unlocking or windows, as far as I can tell.

    7. and 8. Maybe another day. That is all for today.

(In the meantime, I finally got my interior mount 96 A6/UrS6 avant third brake light fully populated with bulbs and installed (used a relay to trigger the third brake light - otherwise I get a brake light out warning due to the lower resistance provided by a bunch (10) more pathways for current).

      [QUOTE=sjw185;872904]

Sorry sir I got my As and Bs mixed up
Also been looking a above drawing with the connectors labelled A,B,C which are not same as spreadsheet

I have added a bit below

These steps were just to show how the central locking controller sees the inputs.
This is without a right click unit.

Possible steps to allow car to auto close window:
1)Car is not running - control unit sees car off through T12b-2
2)doors are all closed-control unit sees doors closed through door switches T12b-10
3)Lock doors with key – control unit sees lock signal through T12b-4
4)Close windows – hold key over in close position
5)Control unit sees all of the above and allows window closure as you continue to hold close the door switch sending prolonged signal to T12b-4
      6) I can’t see anything else happening to close the windows other that the T12b-4 prolonged signal from the lock switch.

Usually locking and alarms use ignition signal to prevent you arming the alarm while driving.
What I was trying to say is when you turn your key in the lock you switch a 12v- signal to T12b-4
When you press lock button on right click you send a 12v- signal to T12b-4
So what are you doing different to close windows?

I was suggesting that a prolonged signal to T12b-4 with the module seeing that the doors are shut, nobody is driving, you have locked the car the central locking controller would say mmmmm he is trying to raise the windows lets tell the window controller to close the windows now

      cheers

      Steve

On a three plug V94 central locking and interior lighting control module, the signal from the door lock being held in the lock position is interpreted by the lock control module as a desire to close the windows and doors *AND THEN* the signal to the window control module, e.g. 329 PN 441959257B is sent from the lock control module Pin T16/8 in a yellow wire. The T12b/8 pin is not occupied. The 94 V8 avant only has a 2 plug V94 central locking module *BUT* T12b/8 *is* occupied - by a yellow/blue wire. I cannot find a wiring diagram for a 2 plug controller, i.e. the whole purpose of this thread, to confirm where that wire goes. That said, since all the other T12b wires are present and accounted for and holding the key in the door lock in lock position *does* close windows, etc. the T12b/8 yellow/blue wire must be the one sending the signal to the 329 window control module.

The connection from the central locking module to the 329 (J139) window control module is [432] below. The 329/J139 pin is supposed to be 10/SK. I removed my driver's side kick panel (remember this is a C4, I don't recall where a S2s 329 lives) and did a continuity check between T12b/8 and the 329 socket. I got continuity but not from the 10/SK pin. So . No to worry, I will just use the key to close windows - unless you (Steve) figure it out.

S2 Coupe Central Locking and Window Control Modules

Steve: When you get there, I think these are the some wiring diagram pdfs that you migh find useful (both from S2Central.net (thanks Paul)):

Coupe infrared central locking and alarm (only for a 3 plug V94):

Coupe central locking - no IR or alarm (closer to mine but different)

            Electric Window (J139):

Note: I don't immediately see a link between the V94 and the J139 in this coupe application. You might find it.

Here is some info about the Coupe Window Control Module:

Here is location of the window control module in Positions 5 and 6:

SO that would make the "287" the module:

            I think the "287" is a 443959257B, which was used in the Coupes, B4s, C3s, V8s and RS2s.

As you describe above, The interface with the window closure is in the first instance with turning the key and sending a signal to T12b-4.

I was suggesting that we do the same with the right clic unit.
This would involve connecting the red window closure wire to the lock signal wire on the right clic unit.
This test would cause no harm to equipment as it would simulate them same process as you holding the key over for 20seconds.

We can also check with a multimeter on T12b/8 yellow/blue wire for output when using window closure with the key.
If you can access the T12b/8 and attach meter to T12b/8 and 12v+ & then T12b/8 - 12v-
we could see if this wire indeed sends signal to controller and if it is positive or negative signal.

Think these are both worthwhile tests and will get the result you’re after

Steve: At the moment, I am not looking for anything more from the RightClick. No more experiments for me. However, please don't let that stop you from these tests and reporting back. (Please)

Regarding the connection to the Ignition switch "86" at T12b/2, I think the only reason for that is for the lights, e.g. when you open the door, the interior lights go on. When you close the door and put the key in the ignition, the lights go off. Then when you stop and pull the key out, before you even open a door, the interior lights come on. When you get out of the car, the interior lights are still on but when you lock the door, the lights go out. At least that is how it works for me.
