THANKS TO ~DELTA, MY CAR STARTED FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY
AFTER ENGINE REBUILD

I thought i would start a new thread coz i'm overwhelmed and also
would like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO DELTA.

I had replaced all senders on my car but she still wouldn't fire up.
It kept coming up with the same fault code
"00514 CRANKSHAFT SENSOR G4 NO SIGNAL"

THIS IS STRANGE AS IT,S AN INTERMITENT CODE.

it only shows up every other interogation after codes have been cleared

so i done the timing again as he suggested :mischeif:
Timing was correct but off
done a compression test on all zyl.

And now for the highlight

Charlie, this started with mine then the back of the lock that sits in the plastic module snapped off then it wouldn't start at all. Not the easiest job either

Engine rebuilt compresion OK but ring need time to run in.

Got one from main stealer. £20+vat Ity needs changing anyway.

Due tom the X-circuit on VW & Audi faulty switch can throw up
certain fault codes. PM me if you need specific details.

I'M F$$KING PISSED OFF.

Replaced ignition switch with new from main stealer but
still no joy. It turn's over but no firing.

Tommorow i will;-
1) remove earth straps, clean and re-connect
2) buy contact cleaner & clean G4 terminals

PS: i twice heard aclicking sound from MAF..

Is their anything i'm missing

How about the dizzy? Broke on mine and car couldnot start.

Did not read the other thread, but if the car cant start it could be the distributor that has broken?

No dizzy in this baby, it's an ADU (RS2)

The clicking could just be the MAF burn off. Clicky

MAF wire still intact. done it on two different occassions
was like 10 really fast clicks; like an alarm clock

But MAF would not stop it from starting.
