An RS2 water pump won't fit a 3B without changing other parts.
The 3B water pump is used to tension the cambelt, the ABY/ADU has a separate tensioner.

You would need to change the oil pump housing, the lower and upper cambelt cover and the backing plate but it is possible as all the mounting holes are on the block.

I think I'd also include a new Hall Sender at the same time as a cambelt job if there was no record of it being done previously (Just the ABY/AAN only of course).

Been a while since i looked in on this thread, i'll see if i can update with some prices - its not as bad as you might think tho and the job is actually surprisingly easy, mainly due to the ease of access.

                            Si,
I dont mean to upset Corey but why dont you give Jase a call at The Lion Garage.
They're about as local as you'll get and did an excellent job when doing mine.
                            Very reasonable price too.

In the midlands i've found the following places in no particular order that are capable of S2 work without worrying.

                              Quattronics
                              MRC
                              Lion Garages
                              Church Road Garage
                              Midland VW

Nothing to be upset about, we're not the only ones to do what we do (although some do it better than others )
