This is a special turbo made by Swedish Turboservice. No "regular" KKK plate like you mention here.

Going by what has been said on the turbo's to date the 30 is a bit more laggy due to the larger turbine but this allows it to sustain higher boost further up the rev range.

      Compare the 2 here

I chose the GT3071 as I am not bothered by the extra lag as it is being fitted to a 10v WR which has similar lag characteristics.

I have been thinking about the 2871 also but im afraid it might be too small. But i rather want low end grunt then neckbreaking top end power. Since its my daily driver i want low end power.

The 28 cannot be described as small, it shares the same dimensions as the 30 but the turbine is smaller, the housing is exactly the same.

No that is the only difference, the turbine is smaller but in the same housing.

PLEASE can you hide that turbo-porn from my eyes?

Would be a better comparison if the turbo's were both int he same orientation - but, if you look closely, the housing's are the same size, one has just been machined out for the bigger wheel. Damn, they look good... must hold out for the RS2 unit...

Don't find out the hard way.
I have GTs on both my 10v and RS2. The RS2 sometimes smokes under power when the oil is cold (and the oil pressure is high) so I guess this might be the reason? What was the 'hard way' that you found out about them?

The turbo blows up mate, if the pressure is too high it bypasses the seals.

Ok guys here's Gt3071 vs K24. turbine side, yes you can spin the 3071 with a huff of air from you your mouth. My reconditioned K24 didnt respond so well, i went red in the face tryin to spin that shaft.

                                compressor side.
My S2 is my weekend ride thus the 3071.
2871 more suited for everyday use.
Thers lots potential in that 2871 just look at kalskets project.
