00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation 08-10 - Control Limit Surpassed - Intermittent

00519 - Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71) 07-10 - Signal too Low - Intermittent Readiness

Anybody point me in the right direction? Is the G70 the MAF?

    Taken from s2central.net

    00561 2413 Mixture Adjustment
    - Adaptation limit (mul) exceeded
    - Adaptation limit (mul) not reached

    Fuel pressure too low
    Ignition system faulty
Leakage in exhaust system before catalyst
    Incorrect signal from G70
    Increased fuel consumption
    Sooty exhaust
    Check fuel system & pressure
    Check exhaust system for leakage
    Check G70

    00537 2341 Lambda sensor control

    - Minimum control limit exceeded
    Low fuel pressure (<3.3 bar)
    Ignition system faulty
    Intake air leak after G70
Leak in exhaust prior to catalyst
    G39 faulty
Fuel pressure too high (> 4 bar)
CO before catalyst less than 0.5%
    High fuel consumption
    Rich exhaust
    Fouled spark plugs
CO before catalyst greater than 3%
    Check fuel pressure
    Repair air leak
    Check G39
    Check fuel pressure

    00519 2222 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, G71
    - Signal too low
    - Signal too high
    - Control difference
Vacuum line between inlet manifold and J220 pinched, plugged or constricted/bent
Fluid separator in tube from inlet manifold to J220 full of water
    Wastegate faulty
    Wastegate frequency valve faulty
    MAP sensor in J220 faulty

    Loss of power
Check vacuum tube and fluid separator

Ah penny drops on the 3rd code! There's no boost line connected to my ECU!

Bet if i connect one up it will get rid of one of the codes

It's about time that boost controller went in the bin, along with that water injection system.

I was just about to point out that you don't have a completely standard Motronic setup, so don't be surprised by errant fault codes!

If you go the modified route, be prepared to live with the pain!

          Cheers,

My car has an electronic boost controller and boost isn't controlled by the ECU

Anybody got any thoughts on the other 2 codes?

Yep, but surely your motronic needs a vac/boost signal to the map sensor unless it has an external map sensor that feed the signal electronically back to the ecu!

Why? the MAP doesn't effect the ignition system it's seperate code.

This thread isn't about that anyhow can anybody point my in a direction over the other 2 codes.

So ignition timing doesn't change with vacuum and boost, I'm amazed!

How old is your Lamda sensor?

                    Leak near the MAF?

Well, the only thing that seems to be common between the top 2 codes is pointing towards an exhaust leak.

I've ordered a new Lambda probe from GSF so will fit that, going to pressure test it once again

Just read my way through this post, (bit behind I know ), Over the last 5 years, I've always logged 3 errors

65535 (checksum error cause Mr. Nothelle wasn't too worried about hiding his work)

                              Two old favourites:-

                              537 -Lambda
08-10 Control Limit Surpassed - Intermittent
                              or
11-10 Control Limit Not Reached - Intermittent

                              561 - Mixture Adaption
                              14-00 Adaption Limit (Add) Exceeded
                              or
                              12-10 Adaption Limit (Mul) Exceeded

When the turbo retired a few years ago the Lambda got soaked with oil , cleaned it up at the time, and due to fuel consumption & performance I'm guessing it's still ok, but interested if others got rid of problem/s with lambda swap ?

The exhaust system (standard) was removed, rebuilt and reinstalled when I did the clutch 2 years ago, no obvious leaks or holes in the system to contribute towards above errors.

Again would be interested if/when people diagnose these errors...
