The name of the Rs2 engine is ADU, if that's what you're looking for.
Besides what's allready been said the exhaust cam is different aswell, and the waterpump, (increased circulation I think). From stock I think the head gasket was different also, but they're all the same nowadays.
And I've heard that the ADU have upper rod bearings, or crank bearings, (what are they called in english BTW, rod/crank bearings?) both up and down. But that might be crap. (The difference between upper and lower, in ABY/AAN is that only one of them has got that oil groove in the middle).

AFAIK ADU engine is just the same as ABY apart for:
- exhaust cam (different timing and duration, higher lift);
- intake cam (different timing, same duration and lift);
- higher flow injectors;
- MAF with less restrictive screens;
- Bigger diameter airbox intake;
- Exhaust manifold (higher flow, with less restricitons);
- K24 7200 turbocharger;
- Silicone type "turbo-to-IC" hose;
- Bigger IC (15% wider);
- 3 Bar MAP sensor on ECU with different Eproms' maps (of course...);
- "Powered by PORSCHE" written on top of IM....
That should be all.
Pistons and conrods are just the same (144mm center to center conrods, Ø 20mm pins)

Ciao

I've been searching for the definitive answer on this one:
intake cam (different timing, same duration and lift);
The ABY and ADU intake cam are the same, the 3B intake is a different part number so i'm assuming Audi made a change to the timing and this is where the difference lies

3B intake cam is different because of the distributor drive.
There are two different intake cams. But the duartion/timing and lift are equal on both.
The difference I think are the distributor drive. Thats a bit strange because you also got to different distributor drive wheels. With different sized teeths.. But can't find that on the cam-partnumber
In the ADU the intake timing are moved 10deg. This I guess are done by the camweels posisions on the ex.cam. (that drives the intake cam). Because the ex.-cam ARE different. The intake cam used in the ADU are also used in ABY and some AAN (not all).
:suspect: Yepp! I'm Odd :na:

Thank you one RS2 cam wheel added to my list
I posted before why was there two different part numbers but somebody rather rudely said it was a mistake in the family album.

hmm... This is where I'm not so sure.
The timing can be changed by the ex cam itself. If the croove for the camwheel are moved on the cam this can cause the different timing.
I used a adj. cam wheel on an AAN in my prev. car. And ADU Cams.
Tried to adjust the timing, but there was verry little differens.
Only moved the power band up and down a little.
