    pcv group buy

Ok been looking into this a bit as Newsh has not made anymore of those specials..which is a shame but actually what we really need is a simple solution from SFS/Samco.

In effect what you need for the pcv is:

30mm ID flourosilicone hose to come off the 'dalek' on the block (thanks James ) this should then go into a alloy t-piece with a 8mm t so it can run back to the cam cover.
A 30mm to 20mm straight reducer so that the valve/flame trap can bolt on top.
Either that or a single hose with a 30mm ID base and a 20mm top with an 8mm reinforced t-piece

Having a look around, as usual Audi ID's are sometimes proprietary which is a pain in the *** so it looks impossible to make one from standar parts.

Anyone interested in a potential group buy on this if i can get them to quote on making this lot into a kit?

    Cheers
    David

Dave - I have the contacts at Samco already and will look into this one - trouble is going to be the hassle of getting one common setup that work on all three S2/RS2 engines. The 3B is a bit different and I'd like to get one common kit for this.

Seeing as your car is in bits - can yu send me all your 3B PCV bits so that I can compare and measure up with my ABY - I'll post some pics, findings and general musings so that we can agree on the best common solution that doesn't cost the earth. Then I reckon we get two trial kits made - one for each to test fit.

This takes a LONG time guys so please be patient !

Paul, thanks for taking this on

Best i can do is measure what i dare to disturb, that lower hose is reallllllllly squishy andi think will disintegrate if i try to remove it. Casually thought I could just scoop up some parts from demon tweaks and build a replacent - naturally not something you can do on an S2

I wonder if we can not get a generic pcv setup for these engines, whats different on the ABY apart from the orientation of the valve? if we can keep it generic, then the volume should go up and it should be simpler for samco to tool up for right?

                  Cheers

Agreed Dave - thats why I need to see both sitting side-by-side - if we can concoct a common kit then I'm all for it as it keeps things simple.

great....I wonder if all the hand off points are identical that we can't simplify it too - after discovering miles of cables and hoses whilst taking my engine out, getting rid of anything or doing stuff smarter can't hurt

3B has a metal pipe running round the side of the cam cover to the MAF tube, the ABY pipe actually goes through the cam cover.

Sorry about no more "newsh adaptors" at the mo chaps, I've run out of material and also spending a lot of time away from home this year so haven't had much time
