    Found this on Krummer today

    Hi,
After many simulation and engine tuning I have find & test optimal value cams:

1 Best Street setup <450 hp (Best low end torque and HP)
EX NM 215 .0.1 duration -25 open BDC UT ; close after TDC OT 7 ,
IN NM 215 .0.1 duration 13 open TDC out; close after BDC UT 45
    + RS2 Wheel 034 109 105B !!!

2 >450 Custom camshafts for Race only
EX 260 .0.1 duration -50 open BDC UT ; close after TDC OT 12 ,
IN 7A 215 .0.1 duration 10 open TDC out; close after BDC UT 54
    + RS2 Wheel 034 109 105B !!!

All simutation realised wis DynoSym Race Cars simulator

    Nice Day !

    Hello Krists,
Factory setup camshafts in AAN engine is realy bad, I suggest to keep AAN cams
    but use RS2 Wheel 034 109 105B witch

Timing belt setup "Shift 1 tooth left "Cam cover mark - Cam pulley mark" -7 ° :

EX AAN 215 .0.1 duration -35 open BDC UT ; close before TDC OT 2 ,
IN AAN 205 .0.1 duration open 4 after TDC out; close after BDC UT 32

    Also another (not simple) setup
needed to modify RS2 Wheel (shift ignition plate left) + shift 2 tooth left
    timing belt setup

EX AAN 215 .0.1 duration -28 open BDC UT ; close before TDC OT 5 ,
IN AAN 205 .0.1 duration open 11 after TDC out; close after BDC UT 39
So going to have to use the adjustable cam wheel to get 10 degree more on the NM Inlet ala RS2 cam wheel.

Eh? the RS2 cam wheel, S2 cam wheel and a adjustable cam wheel alters the cam timing by shifting the magnetic hall sensor trigger.

The physical Inlet for an RS2 and ABY are exactly the same only difference is the cam wheel.

We know the RS2 cam pulley retards things by 10 degrees... That means if you use the RS2 EX cam with an ABY pulley that you have to advance the RS2 EX cam data by 10 degrees

But are the 7A and NM cam pulleys the same as AAN and ABY ?

Moving the hall trigger is just a 2ndary thing Jamo - it is not a critical thing for ECU timing - all that pulse does is determine the engine phase to differentiate between refererence pulses from every rotation of the crankshaft.

Bump to an old thread - and i think i've made a boo boo by buying an ADU inlet cam thinking it was different to the ABY one I already have

So to summarise part of this discussion......

Apart from rocking horse poop NM cams, the best theoretical cam set-up for a streetable flat torque curve is 7A exhaust and ADU inlet timings - HOWEVER the ADU inlet cam is identical to the AAN & ABY inlet cams - the RS2 Cam pulley adjusts the timing of BOTH cams by 10degrees. This messes up the timing on the 7A exhaust cam though right? So ideally advancing the ADU / ABY / AAN inlet cam by 10deg whilst leaving the 7A exhaust as it is?

What i know about cam timing i could write ona stamp, so this might be a dumb question but can you get someway towards this by timing the inlet cam out by one tooth giving a circa 7deg advance?

Don't get mixed up with actual cam degs and bottom end degs. Cam specifications are always given as bottom end degs. This means 7degs at cam moves the timing actually 14 degs - which is a lot.
