        combined thrust washers???

        Do these engines use thrust washers along the crank, and in how many places???

                  On a more serious note;

                  Do not use combined thrust washer with highperformance clutch on a daily driver.

                  Use whatever you want on fullblown race car engine. You`re going to overhaul it once a year, or at least every other year, so whatever you use will be just fine.

                    Im glad this came up.

                    Im in need of some big end and main bearings for the 1.8t 20v engine i am building. I have herd sputter bearings are available but what do you guys think about brands of bearings? I have herd of KS bearings and since this thread Glyco bearings. Whats the verdict and where can i get them from?

                        Reputable specialists should be able to source bearings from KS or Glyco - they are both well known brands with trusted reputation and many factory fitments. I posted excerpts from the KS catalog here before so you can source part numbers and double check oversize specs and sputter variants.
